| In 1980s,American education reform made a series of achievements,one of which was the emergence of the concept of teacher leadership.At present,more and more scholars realize that an effective way to improve the quality of teachers is to develop teacher leadership.In schools,teachers are not only teachers in the classroom,but also participants and managers of major decisions.The connotation and extension of this concept of teachers have been enriched.After 30 years of development of teachers,the teacher leadership development system in the United States is relatively mature.It is a joint training system composed of the federal government,state governments,social organizations and universities.The training institutions of American teacher leaders have trained a large number of teachers,which promotes the development of school education and improves the quality of American schools.In the process of school development in China,teachers also need to take part in it,play diversified roles,participate in various school affairs,mobilize teachers’ enthusiasm,enrich teachers’ professional knowledge,and improve teachers’ quality,which is conducive to improving the quality of schools.China attaches great importance to the training of teachers,and sets up related projects to cultivate outstanding teachers’ leadership,such as famous teacher studios and backbone teachers’ training institutions,etc.However,the development system of teachers’ leadership in China is not very mature at present,so this paper takes the measures to cultivate teachers’ leadership in Massachusetts,USA as the research object,aiming at providing reference for the cultivation of teachers’ leadership in China.This paper explores the background,present situation and training system of teacher leadership development in Massachusetts through literature research and comparative research,and systematically expounds the measures to cultivate teacher leadership in Massachusetts.The first chapter traces the development background of teacher leadership in Massachusetts.The main reasons are the development of American federal education policy,the development of American teacher leadership standards,and Massachusetts meeting the needs of high-quality teachers by improving teacher leadership.Next,the second chapter to the fifth chapter,respectively,from four aspects: the certification of teacher’s leadership role,the courses offered to improve teacher’s leadership,the projects offered and the financial guarantee,elaborate the strategies of improving teacher’s leadership in Massachusetts,and analyze the effects of measures taken in Massachusetts on improving the quality of teachers in the state;Finally,in the sixth chapter of the article,the experience of developing teacher leadership in Massachusetts is analyzed,and combined with the actual situation of the development of teacher education in China,the experience and enlightenment of the measures of developing teacher leadership in Massachusetts to China are discussed.By introducing the teacher leadership development system in the United States,we can have a deep understanding of various strategies for developing teacher leadership in Massachusetts.Combined with the basic situation of related programs for training outstanding teachers in China,we can improve such programs,start to cultivate teacher leadership from many aspects,set corresponding standards for teacher leadership training,develop courses for training outstanding teacher leadership,provide policy and financial guarantee for the improvement of teacher leadership,create a good atmosphere for the development of teacher leadership,enrich teachers’ professional knowledge and improve teachers’ quality. |
