Teacher’s professional identity refers to the individual teacher’s knowledge and evaluation of the teacher’s profession and self in the profession based on information such as experience and teacher’s professional characteristics,which has a directional effect on teachers’ professional development and career.Young teachers have gradually become the backbone of primary school teachers in China.The professional identity of young primary school teachers is not only related to the future of teachers,but also the quality guarantee of basic education.Young teachers in primary schools are a special group of teachers.They have entered the teachers’ career with the new ideas of contemporary youth and are in the stage of professional adaptation.They experience different situations in the professional field,and these professional experiences and feelings have an important impact on the formation of professional identity of young primary school teachers.Paying attention to the real professional experience and feelings of young primary school teachers can discover the forming process and influencing factors of their professional identity.Paying attention to the inner needs of young primary school teachers and understanding their professional demands are the key links to improve the professional identity level of young primary school teachers.When young primary school teachers have a high level of professional identity,they can devote themselves to education with a positive attitude,establish professional development goals and realize their professional self.Through combing the existing studies on teachers’ professional identity,the research clarifies the connotation,structure,influencing factors and results of teachers’ professional identity.On the basis of the existing research results,based on the social identity theory and self-identity theory,the author defines the related concepts of young primary school teachers’ professional identity.Teachers’ professional identity is divided into three dimensions and six factors.Professional cognition includes professional value cognition and role self-cognition,professional emotion includes professional happiness and professional loyalty,and professional behavior tendency includes job involvement and professional development.From the perspective of teachers’ professional development,teachers’ professional identity crisis mainly includes value identity crisis,role identity crisis and professional identity crisis.Then,the case study method is adopted to carry out the research,and three young primary school teachers with different backgrounds are selected as the research objects.According to the collected data,the professional experiences of the three young primary school teachers are shown in the time sequence before and after the service.According to the structural dimension of teachers’ professional identity constructed in this study,this paper sorts out and analyzes the formation process and crisis of professional identity of three young primary school teachers.Further,according to the formation process and crisis of professional identity of the research object,based on these five theories,the influencing factors of professional identity of young primary school teachers are analyzed.Among the individual factors,teachers’ personal experience is the orientation of their career choice motivation,teachers’ professional quality is the key to their sense of teaching efficacy,and teachers’ quality characteristics are the cornerstone of their educational beliefs.Among the school organizational factors,the school management mode is the carrier of teachers’ sense of belonging,the material foundation provided by the school for teachers is the guarantee of teachers’ living capital,the professional support is the platform for teachers’ growth,and the educational objects determine the direction of teachers’ teaching management.Among the social environmental factors,policy support is the backing of the guarantee of teachers’ system,social expectation becomes the marking line of teachers’ role image,the quality of students becomes the starting point of teachers’ exertion,and the teaching profession in employment environment becomes the position of avoiding risks.In view of the crisis and influencing factors of young primary school teachers’ professional identity,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to improve teachers’ professional identity.From the individual level,young primary school teachers should be based on perfecting their professional self,breaking through the existing professional cognition,improving their reflective ability,adjusting their mentality,knowing the educational objects and planning their professional future reasonably.From the level of school organization,we should focus on building a harmonious working environment,creating a people-oriented working atmosphere,boost the professional growth of young teachers and paying attention to the inner needs of young teachers.From the social level,we should protect teachers’ rights and interests,effectively improve teachers’ treatment,reduce the workload of young teachers,and guide the public’s rational expectations for young primary school teachers. |
