In the 2022 edition of compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards,it is clearly pointed out that we should attach importance to unit integrity instructional design,promote students’ overall understanding and gradually develop core literacy.The learning trajectories emphasizes that instructional design should be carried out according to the process that students go through to construct knowledge independently,which provides a new perspective for unit integrity instructional design.This research is based on the learning trajectories theory,according to the “Why” “How” And “How does it work” to research unit integrity instructional design of second learning stage number and algebra.In this research,the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,CASE analysis were used.From three aspects of current situation investigation,process construction and teaching implementation,a systematic research is carried out on unit integrity instructional design of second learning stage number and algebra based on the learning trajectories.Through a questionnaire survey of mathematics teachers in the second stage of primary schools in N City,it is found that the teachers of the subjects do not have a clear understanding of unit integrity instructional design and its links;they unconsciously use unit integrity instructional design in practical teaching;cannot fully follow the student learning trajectories to carry out unit integrity instructional design,lack of strategies for unit integrity instructional design of number and algebra.According to the survey results,under the guidance of the learning trajectories theory,this research constructs unit integrity instructional design of second learning stage number and algebra based on learning trajectories.The whole design process is divided into three stages and eight links,including the analysis unit learning trajectories stage(analyze unit teaching materials,determine students’ learning starting point,formulate unit teaching objectives),the design unit learning trajectories stage(assume unit learning trajectories,design unit teaching task)and the optimizing unit learning trajectories stage(inspection unit learning trajectories,modify unit learning trajectories and improve unit integrity instructional design),and the corresponding instructional design strategy is elaborated for each link.Combined with the current situation investigation and process construction,this research select the PEP version of the first volume of grade four “ Three-digit times two-digit ” unit to design and implementation.By analyzing the effect of teaching implementation,it is found that the effect of unit integrity instructional design based on learning trajectories is obviously better than that of the traditional instructional design.It is further explained that the design has a certain effect on promoting students’ understanding of number and algebra knowledge and improving their mathematics scores.
