In the information age of education,schools and teachers follow the trend of The Times and attach importance to modern teaching aids supported by information technology,while traditional teaching aids gradually fade out of the classroom teaching stage and occupy a secondary position.Since the new curriculum reform,the state encourages schools and teachers to be good at relying on modern information technology to develop and use modern teaching aids,and to develop and use traditional teaching aids in combination with teaching needs.Especially for lower grade elementary school students,in a little join this transition phase,the logic operation still needs the support of specific things,learning style is not completely free from preschool period,teachers in the teaching using traditional teaching aids should be diversified,play its unique value for lower grade elementary school students mathematics learning.For the study of traditional teaching aids live in the information age survival,this study will research orientation in the higher education modernization level of urban elementary school,in order to avoid lower grade elementary school students lack of knowledge and experience to study the impact of objectivity,therefore,using literature method,questionnaire method,observation method and interview method,in order to lower grade math teacher as the research object,Through the investigation and research on the current situation of the use of traditional teaching aids in mathematics teaching in lower grades,problems are found and specific educational suggestions are put forward for schools and teachers.Through the study of the previous literature and field investigation,the present situation of the traditional teaching aids is analyzed from four aspects: teachers’ subjective understanding of the traditional teaching aids,the use of the traditional teaching aids,the internal conditions of the use and the external environment provided by the school.Through analysis,it is found that the low grade mathematics teachers in primary schools have a high identity and low willingness to traditional teaching aids,and the selection and use of teaching aids are guided by teaching results,ignoring the learning process and experience of students.In additi on,teachers’ lack of learning and reflection and schools’ failure to create a good environment for the use of traditional teaching aids make it difficult for traditional teaching aids to survive and give full play to their teaching value in the information age.Based on the fact that the lower grade students are young and lack of subject consciousness and practical experience,the following educational suggestions are put forward for the responsibility of the school and teachers: teachers should take students as the foundation and respect students’ physical and mental characteristics and learning needs;Learning knowledge and skills related to traditional teaching aids to ensure relevant knowledge literacy;To enhance the ability of using traditional teaching aids and to play its role in mathematics learning for junior students;Schools should strengthen the allocation and management of traditional teaching aids and provide good material security;Formulate professional assessment standards for teachers and implement teachers’ use of traditional teaching aids from a systematic point of view.In short,the efficient use of the traditional teaching aids cannot leave the school and the teacher,the reasonable organization arrangement,inseparable from the teachers in the teaching teachers should play its dominance in the lower grade mathematics teaching according to the characteristics of students and requirements to choose the teaching aid,deep to achieve the teaching goal,promote the all-round development of students,It gives full play to the unique value of traditional teaching aids in mathematics teaching in the information age.
