For left behind children,their basic psychological needs will be affected due to the lack of parental companionship during their early growth.At the same time,as one of the main places for left behind children,school connection must be inextricably linked to their problem behaviors.Therefore,this study intends to construct a mediated model with moderation,focusing on the mechanisms of action of psychological need satisfaction and school connection,and devotes to provide some countermeasures for the problem behaviors of left-behind children.In this study,603 left behind children from grade one to grade three in junior middle school were surveyed on parent-child attachment,problem behaviors,satisfaction of psychological needs and school connection.The research results are as follows:(1)There is significant differences in problem behaviors and psychological needs satisfaction among left-behind children by gender,with more boys than girls have problem behaviors and more girls than boys have psychological needs satisfaction.There are significant differences in problem behaviors,parent-child attachment,and school connection among left-behind children by grade level,with more problem behaviors and parent-child attachment among seventh-grade left-behind children than among eighth-grade and ninth-grade students,and the school connection degree of eighth grade students is higher than that of seventh grade and ninth grade students.(2)There is a significant correlativity between parental attachment,satisfaction of psychological needs and problem behaviors of left behind children.(3)Psychological needs satisfaction plays a partial mediating role in the influence of parent-child attachment on problem behaviors of left-behind children.(4)Parent-child attachment has a moderating mediating effect on problem behaviors of left-behind children.School connection support moderates the first half and the second half of the parent-child attachment-psychological needs satisfaction-problem behaviors of left-behind children pathway,that is,the relationship between parent-child attachment and problem behaviors of left-behind children is moderated by school connection.In conclusion,this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Improve the level of parent-child attachment of left-behind children;(2)Improve the level of parent-child attachment of left-behind children;(3)Reduce the problem behavior of left-behind children.
