Xinjiang has a special geographical position,with the characteristics of multi-ethnic,multi-cultural and multi-religious coexistence,in addition,Xinjiang is located in the northwest frontier of China,and borders with eight countries.This complicated environment of culture and ideology has always put Xinjiang in the front line of the ideological work of reverse osmosis and anti-separatism.As the educational front of the Party,Xinjiang colleges and universities have the important mission of educating people for the Party and talents for the country.It is very important for the social stability and long-term stability of Xinjiang to cast a strong sense of Chinese national community among the college students in Xinjiang.It is the most important educational goal of Xinjiang colleges and universities to train the college students to be qualified socialist builders and successors who safeguard the unification of the motherland and build the border areas of the motherland.Therefore,it is urgent and extremely important to forge a sense of Chinese national community in Xinjiang colleges and universities,not only for Xinjiang,but also for the Party and the state.The work of college students in Xinjiang to forge a sense of Chinese national community has been successful,but challenges still remain.Colleges and universities in Xinjiang have carried out solid theoretical study,fully tapped ideological and political education resources,strengthened students’ awareness of the "five identities",strengthened students’ "four self-confidence",and correctly established the "five views" of Marxism,so that students can take the initiative to safeguard ethnic unity and are willing to solve problems for students of all ethnic groups.Can take the initiative to participate in the socialist cause and the practice of the construction of the Chinese national community.However,there are still challenges for new college students to cast a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation,and foreign forces are covetously looking for ways to constantly export false history and ideas to our young people.This paper,through the field investigation of four representative colleges and universities in Xinjiang,studies the status quo of college students in Xinjiang forging a sense of Chinese national community.At present,Xinjiang colleges and universities are still facing the threat of complicated cultural environment and ideological environment at home and abroad.Students still have the problem that the standard of the national standard language is not enough;The family is generally absent in the process of forming the consciousness of community of the Chinese nation.Some students have obvious differences in consciousness.Xinjiang colleges and universities should always adhere to the socialist direction of running schools and adhere to the dominance of Marxism in the ideological field of colleges and universities.It is necessary to take moral cultivation as the fundamental task of college personnel training,explore ideological and political education resources,guided by the core socialist values,constantly carry out patriotism education,strengthen the rule of law education,resolutely resist the infiltration of the "three forces" in Xinjiang colleges and universities,and promote ethnic unity in colleges and universities.On the method,it is necessary to supervise and guide the campus network environment,guide students to establish correct ideological understanding,and adhere to the security of the ideological field in colleges and universities;In terms of education mechanism,we should improve the home-school coordination mechanism and make up for the shortcomings of family education in the process of ideological and political education.We will improve the standard of national language education in colleges and universities in Xinjiang,raise the cognitive level of key students,and teach students in accordance with their aptitude.Continue to enrich the classroom ideological and political demonstration curriculum and the "second classroom" scene,and promote the development of "three into two,one friend" and the implementation of "national unity and one family".
