Design thinking,as a method of solving problems,is conducive to trigger people’s inspiration,allowing them to explore and find creative problem solutions.The obvious characteristics of vocational education are market-oriented,industrial and skilled,etc..Therefore,the ability of vocational education students to apply knowledge and skills to solve practical problems is relatively high.It can be seen that the cultivation of design thinking ability is quite important for the learning and development of vocational education students.Taking the cultivation of the design thinking ability of secondary vocational students as a starting point,this study is aimed at exploring ways and methods to enhance the design thinking ability of secondary vocational students.Firstly,through the literature review,the origin,definition and implementation process of design thinking are sorted out,which provides a theoretical basis for this study.Secondly,by comparing the implementation process of design thinking,this dissertation chooses the classic design thinking model of D.School as the basis.Based on the traditional teaching method,an instructional scheme for cultivating the design thinking ability of secondary vocational students is designed.Then,using questionnaires,observations,focus group interviews and action research,this study implements two rounds of action research,which is based on the course of e-commerce major of a vocational and technical education center school in N city,with 38 students in the "3+2" section of this major as the research objects.After the first round of action research,with the design thinking teaching model optimized and improved accordingly,a "design thinking teaching model based on the flipped classroom concept" is constructed,and the second round of action research is implemented based on the model.Finally,by analyzing the relevant data,an overall assessment of the design thinking ability of secondary vocational students is conducted.The research results show that:(1)Integrating design thinking into secondary vocational teaching can guide secondary vocational students to obtain good learning results in the process of problem solving.(2)The integration of design thinking into the secondary vocational teaching in the way of flipped classroom is more conducive to the cultivation and improvement of the design thinking ability of secondary vocational students.(3)The secondary vocational students have made significant progress in "human-centered",problem-solving,and collaborative learning skills.The shortcoming of this study is that only four experimental projects are implemented for the 38 students participating in the experiment,leading to the limitation of the universality of the research results.It is expected that the future research will expand the research object to the secondary vocational students in each stage,so as to further explore the best way to integrate design thinking into secondary vocational teaching.
