With the development of the information age,technology empowering mathematics classroom teaching has become a trend.Technology empowering teaching breaks the traditional mechanical teaching mode,bringing new vitality and radiance to classroom teaching.Classroom teaching under technology empowerment emphasizes using information technology to improve the design of teaching links and transform the presentation of knowledge.The conic curve chapter is the key chapter of the analytic geometry module in high school,and is one of the most difficult chapters for students to master during the entire high school stage.Its content is abstract and has a large amount of calculation,making it a difficult mountain for students with weak basic knowledge to climb.According to the content characteristics of the conic section,classroom teaching is conducted using information technology to solve the difficulties in conic teaching.The significant advantage of information technology lies in visualizing the content of knowledge,allowing students to intuitively observe the occurrence and development of knowledge,thereby touching the essence of mathematics,helping to improve classroom teaching efficiency,making classroom teaching avoid the drawbacks of traditional teaching,and changing the teaching methods of teachers and students.Based on the relevant theories and survey results of conic curve teaching,this article attempts to construct a case study of conic curve teaching design under technological empowerment,putting theoretical research into practice,and providing theoretical and practical reference for frontline teachers to integrate information technology into conic curve teaching design.This article uses the literature analysis method to conduct research on key words such as information technology,conic curve teaching,and mathematical essence,summarizing scholars’ views on the integration of current information technology and conic curve teaching to reveal the essence of mathematics,and determining the value of this study;Using the questionnaire survey method,this paper investigates the attitudes and opinions of students and teachers on the conical curve of technology integration,and summarizes the problems existing in the conical curve teaching under the current technology empowerment through sorting out and analyzing the questionnaire data.Based on the analysis of questionnaire data,the conical curve teaching under technology empowerment is supported by constructivist learning theory,Friedenthal education theory,and Gagne’s information processing theory.Combining the teaching difficulties of teachers and students,three teaching strategies and six principles are proposed.The teaching strategies are: creating teaching situations,intuitively presenting abstract knowledge,and establishing dynamic mathematical models,Deepening the essence of thought and information technology empowering mathematics teaching,enriching teachers’ teaching and students’ learning methods;The principles are: scientific principle,heuristic principle,intuitive principle,subjectivity principle,infiltration of mathematical thinking principle,and integrity principle.Using the above teaching strategies,teaching principles,and the goal of revealing the essence of mathematics,three teaching case designs were conducted,namely,"ellipse and its standard equation","hyperbola and its standard equation",and "parabola and its standard equation".The case was analyzed to analyze the application of information technology in the case.Research has shown that cone curve teaching with technology empowerment can intuitively display the occurrence and development process of knowledge,gain insight into the nature of mathematics,improve classroom teaching efficiency,help stimulate students’ interest in learning cone curve content,change their learning methods,and cultivate and improve students’ core literacy such as mathematical abstraction,logical reasoning,and mathematical operations..
