Analytic geometry is the classical part of high school mathematics content,and the conic curve is the core content of analytic geometry.It is a good way to combine algebraic computation with geometric thought,which fully embodies the idea of the combination of numbers and shapes.In addition,the conic curve is a very important geometric model in mathematics and has a wide range of applications in daily life,social production,science,and technology.Over the years,the conic curve and equation has always been the key points of the college entrance examination content,because is accounts for very large part and also very difficult with strong comprehensiveness.so for students it is a “hard hole”.Among the main changes in the revision of high school curricula,the “core-based unit teaching design” has become a hot study topic.Based on the idea of unit teaching design,the author analyzes the contents of the cone curve and the equation in order to design the unit teaching plan under the overall grasp of the whole unit.In the aspect of mathematical factors,the author analyzes the nature of the conic curve and the background of its life application,also the position and function of the conic curve during the whole mathematics curriculum in high school,and the research method of the conic curve.In terms of the standard elements,the author mainly analyzes the differences between “full-time ordinary high school mathematics teaching syllabus”and “ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standards(experimental)”,also the gap of the requirements of liberal arts students and science students;in the emotional aspect,this paper analyzes students' existing basis before learning new content,also their learning habits and experience through questionnaire.;in the teaching elements aspect,this paper mainly compares the differences between PEPA edition and Beijing Normal University version from knowledge structure,content arrangement,ways of content presentation,design of examples and exercises,and setting of reading materials and summary in every chapter;in the key and difficult aspects,this paper mainly analyzes which part is the key points and which part is the difficult points;about the teaching methods,this paper mainly analyzes changes of teaching method after the new curriculum reform and the selected teaching methods chosen by the author in the teaching design.Based on the analysis of the above elements,the author designs unit teaching objectives and proposes teaching suggestions which are corresponding to class assignments.Under the idea of whole unit,this study supplies two teaching design examples of the simple geometric properties of the ellipse and the straight and conic curves in the college entrance examination,meanwhile,the author applies GeoGebra dynamic geometry software to visually reveal their natures to students.
