Research On The Existing Problems And Countermeasures Of Application-oriented Talent Cultivation Model In Newly Established Undergraduate Colleges

With the accelerated transformation and upgrading of the national economic and industrial structure,the shortage of high-quality applied talents has become a new bottleneck restricting the economic transformation and development of many places.In recent years,promoting the transformation of some general undergraduate institutions to application-oriented has become a major national policy orientation.Previous studies have lacked attention to new undergraduate institutions that have not been effective in building application-oriented talent cultivation models.In this regard,this study combines government policy documents with the actual situation of college development and selects the applied talent cultivation mode of College A in Jiangxi Province as a case study object.Through literature combing,this study identifies relevant theoretical foundations and elaborates the basic principles of the construction of applied talent training mode in new undergraduate institutions.Using the interview survey method and text analysis method,we collected relevant information and data on the construction of applied talent cultivation mode in College A of Jiangxi Province,and combined with the definition of talent cultivation mode,we outlined the current situation and problems of the construction of applied talent cultivation mode in College A of Jiangxi Province from seven aspects,including education concept,cultivation goal,professional setting,curriculum setting,teaching methods,faculty and quality evaluation.The study found that the following seven problems exist in the applied talent cultivation mode of College A: incomplete implementation of the applied concept,inappropriate implementation of the applied talent cultivation goal,lack of conditions for the optimization and adjustment of the professional structure,limited number of courses developed by school-enterprise cooperation,lack of significant effect of school-enterprise collaborative education,insufficient dual-teacher teachers,and single way of talent cultivation evaluation.It is found that the reasons for the above problems are not all from universities themselves,but from the influence of multiple levels.At the government level,the top-level design is not in place,one-size-fits-all policy arrangement,adherence to traditional education governance concept,and low financial income of local government;at the society level,the willingness of enterprises to participate in school-enterprise cooperation is weak,the ability of local enterprises to share resources is weak,and the society’s concept of emphasizing learning over art is strong;at the school level,the traditional education concept is upward and downward,and the school foundation has accumulative effect,and the school has a strong influence on the education system,At the school level,the traditional education philosophy has a cumulative effect,the proportion of practical teaching is difficult to define,and the education funding is obtained in a single way.In view of the above problems and causes,this study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.At the government level,improve the top-level design and comprehensively support the development of new undergraduate institutions;refine policy support and respect the law of development of new undergraduate institutions;deepen the reform of decentralization and promote the construction of a diversified governance system;establish a special funding mechanism and improve the apportionment mechanism of diversified inputs.At the social level,enterprises should enhance their awareness of development strategies and explore potential development opportunities;improve their competitiveness and enhance their sense of corporate social responsibility;improve the social status of applied talents and promote the transformation of traditional concepts.At the school level,the school leaders should actively lead the school and adhere to the concept of application-oriented schooling;optimize the talent cultivation structure to serve local development needs;improve the practical teaching system to promote students’ comprehensive development;carefully cultivate the brand characteristics to enhance the resource absorption capacity;improve the talent evaluation and recruitment mechanism to strengthen the construction of "dual-teacher" team;improve the multi-governance system and promote the cooperation between schools and enterprises.
