| Subjective well-being is an individual’s overall satisfaction with their own living conditions based on the established standards,which can reflect the physical and mental health level of the individual.Adolescence is an important stage of individual physical and mental development,and it is easy to appear various mental health problems.Therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to adolescents’ subjective well-being for both physical and mental health development and academic research.Factors affecting subjective well-being include internal and external factors.This study selects core self-evaluation as an internal factor to explore the relationship between core self-evaluation and subjective well-being of junior one students,and introduces self-control as an intermediary variable to explore its mediating role between core self-evaluation and subjective well-being.Based on this,the self-control group counseling program is further used to intervene in junior one students,and its effect on improving the subjective well-being of junior one students is tested by improving the self-control level.This study consists of two parts.In the first study,655 junior one students in a middle school in Fuzhou City are taken as the research objects.The core self-evaluation Scale,Self-control Scale and Subjective Well-being Scale were adopted for investigation and research to explore the relationship among core self-evaluation,self-control and subjective well-being.Study 2 takes self-control as the intervention theme,carries out group psychological counseling activities,and selects 62 junior one students as the subjects,of which 31 subjects in the experimental group underwent 8 times of group psychological counseling,and 31 subjects in the control group did not do any intervention.According to the data before and after the intervention of group counseling,the effectiveness of group counseling on improving the self-control of junior one students was explored.Research results:(1)There is no significant difference in the subjective well-being of junior one students in whether they are the only child or the place of origin.Gender and whether they are class cadres have an impact on the subjective well-being and some dimensions;(2)There is no significant difference in the core self-evaluation of junior one students in whether they are class cadres,whether they are the only child,and where they come from;gender has an impact on core self-evaluation;(3)There is no significant difference in the self-control of junior one students in whether they are the only child or the origin of students.Gender and whether they are class cadres have an impact on some dimensions of self-control;(4)Core self-evaluation,self-control and subjective well-being of junior one students have significant correlation;Core self-evaluation can positively predict self-control and subjective well-being,self-control can positively predict subjective well-being;(5)Self-control partially mediates the relationship between core self-evaluation and subjective well-being;(6)Group psychological counseling in this study can effectively improve the level of self-control of junior one students,and thus enhance their subjective well-being.Research conclusion:(1)Core self-evaluation is correlated with self-control and subjective well-being,and core self-evaluation can positively predict self-control and subjective well-being,while self-control can positively predict subjective well-being;(2)Self-control partially mediates the relationship between core self-evaluation and subjective well-being;(3)The group psychological counseling in this study is feasible and effective,which can effectively improve the level of self-control of junior one students and enhance their subjective well-being. |
