Geographical distribution map is an important carrier to understand the region,and also the characteristic of geography.The Curriculum Standards for Geography in General High Schools(2017 edition 2020 Revision)repeatedly emphasizes the use of distribution maps to explain the distribution characteristics,laws and causes of certain geographical things,and improving students’ map reading ability is an effective way to implement the cultivation of the core geographical literacy.However,in the actual teaching process,some teachers ignore the cultivation of students’ ability to read maps.If this goes on,it is easy for students to lose interest in maps or even geography,which is not conducive to the development of students.Therefore,how to accurately grasp and overcome the obstacles of reading and improve the reading ability is an important problem in front of geography educatorsThis article takes geographical map dyslexia as the research entry point.Firstly,it summarizes the research status of mapping ability at home and abroad from three aspects: geography curriculum standard,map ability cultivation and the dyslexia of map.Secondly,through the high school students geographical map reading ability training status questionnaire survey,it is concluded that the students have insufficient understanding of geographical maps,lack of good habits of reading maps,learning methods and map teaching problems,and set the diagnosis point,compiling geographic map dyslexia diagnosis questions.Then,students from the two schools were selected for the initial test and formal test respectively,and the Rasch model was used to process the data of the two tests,test the reliability and validity of the test questions,and optimize and improve the test questions in time to improve the scientific nature of the test questions.Through the specific analysis of the diagnostic results of the test,the following conclusions are drawn: the complex characteristics of the map,the unfamiliar way of presentation,the improper understanding of the questions,the one-sided thinking,the reading disorder caused by the thinking pattern,as well as the psychological acceptance and data analysis obstacles in the process of reading map,will affect the quality of reading map.For students in the process of reading map obstacles,from the perspective of students "learning",from the "foundation","internalization" "application" three levels of teaching strategies to deal with reading disorders,including comprehensive interpretation elements,grasp the different types of distribution map method,build psychological map,drawing pattern and special training.Finally,through the design of the teaching case of "geographical distribution map special teaching —— Taking Hungarian Regional Map as an example",the effectiveness of the teaching strategy proposed above is verified,and the existing problems can be found,and the teaching strategy is constantly improved,in order to make up for the shortcomings of students when reading maps.
