Objective: Selective attention and working memory are one of the important components of cognition,which have a very important impact on our daily life and learning.Previous studies have confirmed that there is a close connection between selective attention and working memory,and both can be present in a cognitive task.There are many studies proving that physical exercise promotes the development of working memory,but few studies on selective attention.And the role of open exercise programs in selective attention is still unclear.The two related brain mechanisms are still not deeply studied.Therefore,this study adopts near infrared functional imaging technology to explore the 12 weeks of table tennis training for college students selective attention and working memory ability,and affect the table tennis college students selective attention and working memory ability interaction relationship,aims to reveal the table tennis movement intervention students selective attention and working memory ability advantage and possible neural mechanism.Study method: this experiment of 26 subjects,randomly assigned to an experimental group(13)and a control group(13),before and after the intervention of the experiment,the subjects of the selective attention task(Flanker)and working memory task(N-back),at the same time,the monitoring of the brain oxyhemoglobin concentration changes.Data were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA,T-test for independent samples and paired samples T-test.finding:(1)Behavioral data analysis:(1)In the N-back experiment,compared with the control group,the response of the exercise group showed a downward trend(P <0.05)and the accuracy was significantly improved(P <0.01);in the Flanker experiment,the response of the exercise group was significantly shorter(P <0.05)and the accuracy change was significantly improved(P <0.01).(2)Brain mechanism analysis: In the activation map of N-back working memory group analysis,the activation degree of the experimental group was relatively high.In the activation map of the within-group analysis,the activation regions and the degree of the experimental group varied greatly,while there was no significant difference in the control group.In the activation map,the activation was higher in the experimental group.In the within-group analysis activation map,the area and degree of activation were quite different in the experimental group,but there was no significant difference in the control group.research conclusion:1)The 12-week table tennis exercise intervention has a positive impact on the selective attention and working memory ability of college students,and the enhancement of neural activity in local brain areas appears simultaneously with the improvement of cognitive performance.2)After 12 weeks of table tennis exercise intervention,college students performed selective attention and working memory tasks,the activation of the brain cortex was higher than that of college students who did not receive intervention.During the selective attention task,the main activation of the cerebral cortex is frontal eye region,dorsolateral prefrontal and frontal regions,the main activation of the cerebral cortex is dorsolateral prefrontal and frontal regions,and the two activation regions overlap.3)In 2012,table tennis improves college students ’selective attention ability and also improves their working memory ability,and there is an interactive relationship of table tennis between college students’ selective attention ability and working memory ability. |
