Reading is a basic skill for an individual’s survival and life,as well as a good foundation for the formation of other qualities.However,according to the survey,the performance of Chinese students in reading is not ideal,especially in modern text reading in junior high schools.Not only do students have some reading difficulties,but also teachers’ teaching needs to be further optimized.Therefore,how to optimize the teaching of modern Chinese reading in junior high schools is an urgent problem to be solved in the field of Chinese education.In this context,the PISA reading literacy test,which is both scientific and authoritative,has entered the research field.Therefore,based on this test,this article will strive to explore optimization strategies for modern text reading teaching in junior high schools in China.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the theoretical basis of the full text,which is mainly divided into three parts.The first part is a brief introduction to the PISA test and the PISA reading literacy test;The second part analyzes the specific content of the PISA reading literacy test from three aspects: reading literacy,testing framework,and evaluation system;The third part is devoted to analyzing the similarities between the PISA reading literacy test and modern Chinese reading teaching in junior high schools in China,providing the possibility for subsequent exploration of teaching optimization strategies.The second chapter is an analysis of the current situation of modern text reading teaching in junior high schools in China.This chapter is mainly conducted in the form of questionnaires and interviews.It not only elaborates on the obstacles they face in modern text reading from the perspective of students,but also analyzes the problems that may arise in modern text reading teaching from the perspective of teachers,providing a large amount of data and rich information for subsequent research.The third chapter is the main body of the article,which is based on the content of the previous two chapters,starting with three major categories of text:literary text,practical text,and argumentative text,and striving to explore the optimization strategies for modern text reading teaching in junior high schools under the guidance of the PISA reading literacy test.The fourth chapter is an extension of the content of the third chapter,which can also be said to be the foothold of teaching optimization strategies.In this chapter,specific teaching content is still selected according to the classification of literary texts,practical texts,and argumentative texts for corresponding teaching design.Only by implementing these strategies into specific teaching designs can we test whether they are suitable for modern text reading teaching in junior high schools in China.Chapter 5 is a teaching reflection based on the contents of the previous chapters.Through timely reflection,experience and lessons are summarized in order to achieve better teaching results and achieve the effectiveness of teaching optimization strategies.In general,this paper is an important attempt to study the optimization strategy of modern text reading teaching in junior high schools under the guidance of PISA reading literacy testing.It is expected that under the guidance of international large-scale advanced testing projects,international advanced testing concepts and educational experience can be absorbed,promoting the reform of modern text reading teaching in China,and thereby improving students’ reading ability and literacy.
