| Family environment is the external environmental factor that has the strongest impact on individual physical and mental development.A large number of studies have proven that cumulative family risk can positively predict individual internalized problem behavior. However, most of the current research focuses on the youth group, with less attention paid to children. In fact, primary school is an important period for the overall development of an individual’s mental and moral abilities. The mental health status of childhood affects adulthood and even life. However, the internal mechanism of cumulative family risk and internalization of problematic behavior in children is unclear. Therefore, this study uses a combination of questionnaire survey(Study 1)and intervention study(Study 2)to explore the relationship between cumulative family risk and children’s internalized problem behavior,as well as the role of basic psychological needs and adversity beliefs in the two variables,in order to provide feasible suggestions for the development of children’s mental health.Study 1: A questionnaire survey was conducted among students and their parents in three primary schools in Xinyang City,Henan Province, and 1016 valid data were collected to explore the relationship between cumulative family risk, basic psychological needs, adversity beliefs, and internalized problem behaviors. In study 2,based on the data obtained in study 1,a group psychological counseling activity themed on cultivating adversity beliefs was carried out, with 26 third grade students as the research subjects, and group assisted intervention activities were conducted.Divide the subjects into intervention group and control group, and explore the effectiveness of group counseling in reducing children’s internalized problem behaviors based on data analysis before and after the intervention. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Among the different family risks, children face the highest risk of staying behind, followed by their parents’ education level and work risks.Among them, the risk of insufficient resources and the risk of family atmosphere are important risk sources for children’s internalized problem behaviors.(2)Cumulative family risk can positively predict the occurrence of internalized problem behaviors in children. The higher the level of cumulative family risk faced by children, the more serious the internalized problem behaviors are.(3)Basic psychological needs play a partial mediating role between accumulated family risk and internalized problem behaviors.Adversity beliefs can affect children’s internalized problem behaviors by regulating the relationship between accumulated family risk and basic psychological needs.(4)Group counseling intervention research based on adversity beliefs can significantly reduce children’s internalized problem behaviors. |
