The new round of basic education curriculum reform has put forward higher requirements for the teaching quality of junior high school "morality and rule of law" class.It is imperative to adapt to the new teaching development concept,reform the traditional teaching model and innovate the teaching methods of the junior high school "morality and rule of law" class.Junior high school students begin to have a relative advantage in abstract logical thinking and are happy to take the initiative to understand and explore knowledge in situational experiences.As a unique teaching method that integrates knowledge,emotion and life,the situational teaching method has a positive impact on the quality education of junior high school students and also lays the foundation for promoting the professional development of teachers.At present,the situational teaching method is widely used in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,but how to improve the effectiveness of context creation and application is still a major problem that exists at present.This paper combines the situational teaching method with the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school.Through practical investigation,we study and analyse the implementation of the situational teaching method in the teaching of morality and rule of law,and find that the following problems exist in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,such as many and random situational materials,which make the actual teaching effect poor;a single form of situational presentation,which causes aesthetic fatigue among students;problems The difficulty and ease of grasping are inappropriate,affecting students’ participation in class;excessive focus on content explanation,neglecting core literacy cultivation;lack of situational evaluation system,making it difficult to provide feedback for improvement.The reasons for these problems are manifold,among which factors such as students lack of attention to the morality and rule of law course,some teachers lack of ability and innovation in context creation,the need to improve the mechanism related to context creation in schools,and the negative influence of traditional national examination-based education cannot be ignored.In order to improve the effectiveness of context creation and application,the author proposes a series of targeted measures in conjunction with teaching practice,such as enhancing learning awareness and mobilising students to actively participate in situations;enhancing the sense of innovation and improving teachers’ ability to apply situations;expanding educational resources and improving mechanisms related to context creation in schools;and developing quality education and optimising the situational teaching process.In addition,the teaching design of context creation is based on the textbook of morality and rule of law of the Humanities Edition,and the specific box topic Honesty and Trustworthiness is used as an example,aiming to provide reference for the use of situational teaching method in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school.
