Theoretical Construction And Empirical Study On Mental Model Of Table Tennis Players

The table tennis competition is no longer a pure competition of technical and tactical level and physical fitness,but more of a competition of the psychological quality of the athletes of both sides.How to improve the mental quality of table tennis players has become a hot topic for scholars.This article mainly uses literature analysis and questionnaire survey methods to conduct a questionnaire survey on the psychological quality of table tennis players at different levels in Shandong Province,so as to construct a mental model that affects table tennis players.The results of the study are as follows:Firstly,this article constructs a mental model of table tennis players.There are two dimensions,including three first-level dimensions and 9 second-level dimensions.The three first-level dimensions are the regulation system,the motivation system and the support system.The 9 second-level sub-dimensions include motivation,self-efficacy,volition,attention,operational thinking,decision-making,cognitive control,emotional control and behavior control.Through reliability and validity test,the reliability and validity of this model is good,and this model is considered to be a qualified mental model of table tennis players.Secondly,table tennis players of different levels have no significant differences in behavior control in table tennis competitions between master,first and second level table tennis players.However,there are significant differences in athletes’ motivation,self-efficacy,quality of will,attention,operational thinking,decision-making and emotional control(P<0.05).At the same time,elite athletes are better in attention,emotional control and quality of will For level one and level two table tennis players.Thirdly,from the Pearson correlation analysis of the nine secondary subdimension factors and the athletes’ competition performance,each factor has a significant positive correlation with the athletes’ competition performance at the level of P<0.05.Fourthly,among the nine secondary level factors in the mental level model of table tennis players constructed in this paper,through the analysis of correlation and regression,it is found that the quality of will contributes the most to the game performance and the remaining important mental factors are Operational thinking,emotional control,attention and behavior control,these factors are closely related to their competition performance.The research conclusions of this article can help analyze and evaluate the mental level of table tennis players,can provide empirical evidence for the selection and training of table tennis players,and have important practical application value.
