| The rapid development of the Internet has allowed all kinds of short video software to occupy people’s free time.However,people are becoming more and more dependent on short videos,especially junior high school students who are at a crucial stage of growth and learning,and junior high school students in rural areas have more free time on weekends.As a result,they are more easily affected by the external environment.Previous researches have proved that personality traits are closely related to addiction,with the fear of missing out(FOMO)and social exclusion are important psychological mechanisms for different individuals to lead to addiction.Based on the above reasons,this study will be an empirical study which use the combination of cross-sectional and longitudinal methods,in order to provide suggestions and Countermeasures for preventing and reducing junior high school students’ short video addiction.Study 1 used the narcissistic personality questionnaire-overt narcissism subscales,Short Video Intrusion Scale,the Fear of Missing Out Scale,and the Adolescent Social Rejection Scale to explore the current situations and relationships between explicit narcissism,fear of missing out,social rejection and short video addiction among junior high school students.Study 2 further verifies whether the relationship between the variables still holds over time.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)There is no significant differences in in explicit narcissism,short video addiction,fear of missing out and social exclusion by gender and whether they were only children.There are significant grades differences in fear of missing out;there are significant differences in explicit narcissism between the grade ranking.(2)Explicit narcissism is positively correlated with short-form video addiction;explicit narcissism is positively correlated with fear of missing out;fear of missing out is positively correlated with short-form video addiction.(3)In the influence of explicit narcissism on short-form video addiction of junior high school students,fear of missing out plays a mediating role.(4)Social exclusion adjustment the first half path of this mediating model,which constructs a mediating regulating model.(5)Short-form video addiction affects explicit narcissism;fear of missing out can be induced by short-form video addiction.(6)Fear of missing out mediated the relationship between explicit narcissism and short-form video addiction six months later,and it belonged to the suppressing effect. |
