In recent years,with the development of smart phones and network technology,the way of information transmission of social media has experienced the transformation of words,books and videos.Especially in the era of short video,more and more people begin to choose short video as an online social way,and short video makes use of the user’s herd mentality,the desire to escape from real life and the pleasure of self release in virtual space,becoming a new type of "drug-based" entertainment way,deeply into people’s daily life,seriously leading to addiction.How to evaluate the addiction tendency of short video,which people are more likely to be addicted to short video,and what psychological mechanism these people use to form short video addiction and other issues need to be further explored by researchers.Some studies have shown that the big five personality is closely related to addiction,in which immersion experience is an important psychological mechanism for different individuals to lead to addiction.In view of this,this study intends to explore the influence of big five personality and immersion experience on College Students’ short video addiction,in order to provide suggestions and Countermeasures for preventing and reducing college students’ short video addiction.Few researchers carry out empirical research on short video addiction.Therefore,in the first study,based on the existing mobile phone addiction scale,through two sample tests,a short video addiction scale was developed to evaluate the short video addiction tendency of college students.On this basis,the second study investigated 840 college students in Jiangxi Province to explore the influence of big five personality on short video addiction,and the mediating mechanism of immersion experience between Big Five personality and short video addiction.The results show that:(1)The short video addiction questionnaire of college students compiled in this study has good reliability and validity;(2)The short video addiction scale of college students was more than 21.63%;(3)In the study of the influence of demographic variables on College Students’ short video addiction,it is found that there are differences in the status of only child in terms of out of control,which is shown in the fact that non only child is higher than the only child;in terms of escape from addiction,there are differences in gender,identity of only child and family location,which are shown in the fact that female is higher than male,non only child is higher than only child,urban is higher The results showed that the abstinence of addiction in city was significantly lower than that in town;there were differences in educational background and family location in addiction abstinence;(4)The neuroticism and extroversion in Big Five personality positively predicted the short video addiction tendency of college students,while the agreeableness negatively predicted the short video addiction behavior of college students;(5)Immersion experience has partial mediating effect between neuroticism and extroversion of big five personality and college students’ short video addiction,and the mediating effect of neuroticism on addiction is 18.75%,the mediating effect of extraversion on addiction was 64.29%;immersion experience has a masking effect between the agreeableness dimension of big five personality and college students’ short video addiction.The ratio of indirect effect to direct effect is 35.29%.Finally,based on the results of this study,in order to effectively prevent and reduce the short video addiction of college students,the following countermeasures are proposed.First,to prevent the short video addiction requires the overall linkage between family and school,strengthen school education and family education;second,focus on the prevention and intervention of short-term frequency addiction for vulnerable groups;finally,reduce the immersion experience,and build a scientific and reasonable prevention and control system. |
