The interdisciplinary theme-based learning curriculum content is explicitly proposed in the History Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),a new requirement for teaching history in junior secondary schools.Interdisciplinary thematic learning requires teachers to guide students to focus on a particular research theme,using history course learning as the main focus,combined with the application of knowledge from other courses,to carry out integrated inquiry and problem-solving,and to enhance student’s ability to analyze knowledge in an integrated manner.Interdisciplinary thematic learning activities are of great significance and value in deepening history curriculum teaching and developing students’ core literacy,and research on them is an important part of secondary school history teaching and research.As a product of a specific historical era,Mao Zedong’s poems record some of the important revolutionary activities of revolutionary martyrs such as Comrade Mao Zedong since his participation in the New Democratic Revolution,reflecting Comrade Mao’s firm revolutionary will and deep sense of family and country.Its content is an important teaching resource for history lessons.At the same time,Mao Zedong’s poems are closely related to the learning content of the junior secondary curriculum,including language,geography and morality and the rule of law.Therefore,using Mao Zedong’s poems to carry out interdisciplinary teaching can guide students to make comprehensive use of knowledge from various disciplines,to gain important knowledge from the poems by studying them,to understand the revolutionary’s family sentiments in the poems’ reading and analysis,to enhance students’ comprehensive literacy,and to achieve the purpose of interdisciplinary teaching.When using Mao Zedong’s poetry in interdisciplinary teaching activities,it is important to make full use of the poetic content in junior history textbooks.The content of Mao’s poetry in other subjects,such as junior secondary language textbooks,should also be given due attention as an important prerequisite for interdisciplinary teaching activities and as an important basis for students’ analysis of Mao’s poetry.For the history curriculum,interdisciplinary teaching of Mao’s poetry can develop students’ ’humanistic’ knowledge networks,lead them to analyze the richness of the historical material,and help them to educate themselves about their country.In practice,there are still some problems with the use of Mao Zedong’s poetry,mainly a lack of interdisciplinary awareness and a lack of integration of resources;there is still a need for schools,teachers and students to work together to improve each of these problems and to optimize teaching activities with a focus on developing core literacy.In order to show the interdisciplinary teaching activities more fully,the thesis designs a section of interdisciplinary teaching activities with the theme of "The Family Sentiments of the Revolutionary Forefathers",which shows the basic aspects of interdisciplinary thematic teaching activities.This is a relatively successful attempt,although there are still some problems. |
