The 5000 year long history of China has left a wealth of cultural relics and relics with historical,artistic,and scientific values.These splendid and splendid cultural achievements are an important carrier for future generations to perceive and understand history.The latest version of history textbooks for junior high schools fully exploits and utilizes these contents.In the latest edition of junior high school history textbooks,a large number of cultural relics illustrations have been used,effectively breaking the boundaries of time and space,narrowing the distance between students and history,allowing students to intuitively witness the creative wisdom of their ancestors,feel the temperature of history,and play an important role in history teaching.In the classroom teaching of history in secondary schools,teachers aim to point to in-depth learning,actively explore the knowledge contained in cultural relics illustrations through different teaching methods,stimulate students’ interest in learning history,facilitate the development of high-level historical thinking,promote students’ critical understanding of history,enhance their sense of identity with history,enhance their pride in excellent traditional culture and the prosperity of the motherland,thereby establishing a correct world outlook Outlook on life and values.This is not only in line with the requirements of cultivating the core literacy of middle school students in the history discipline,but also an important way to achieve deep learning for students.This article combines in-depth learning and the use of cultural relics illustrations to explore the close relationship and complementary role of the two in junior high school history classroom teaching from the perspective of achieving in-depth learning.Deep learning emphasizes students’ active learning,critical understanding,integration,and transfer of knowledge.Their characteristics of developing high-level thinking are coupled with their core historical literacy.With the development of education,the new curriculum standards and the high school entrance examination pay more and more attention to inspecting students’ historical abilities.The layout and design characteristics of cultural relics illustrations in junior high school history textbooks are also calling for the effective realization of deep learning for middle school students.The combination of the two is feasible.This article uses questionnaires and teacher interviews to understand the current situation of using cultural relics illustrations to achieve in-depth learning in history teaching in junior high schools,and further proposes that teachers should fully play a leading role,take students as the main body,fully tap the hidden knowledge of cultural relics illustrations and make rational use of them,actively use multimedia equipment as the medium of online teaching resources,and use various teaching methods such as thematic inquiry teaching,With the effective use of cultural relics illustrations,we can enrich the content of the history class,cultivate students’ high-level historical thinking,and achieve the high-level goal of in-depth historical learning.Taking the typical cultural relics illustrations in the first volume of "Chinese History" in the seventh grade of the Ministry of Education as an example,we will provide examples of the specific application methods of cultural relics in history teaching in junior high schools,and provide teaching fragments.We hope to provide examples and experience for the teaching of the majority of front-line teachers,To further develop and apply the research of deep learning in junior high school history teaching under the new situation.
