Language is the foundation of wisdom and the most frequently and effectively used tool for young children to acquire lifelong intelligence.The early childhood stage is an important period for language development,and families have inherent advantages in early childhood language education.For young children,family and parental factors have the most significant impact on their language learning.In a multilingual environment,bilingual education for young children in Tibetan families in Sichuan has become increasingly complex.As the main guides and supporters of bilingual education for young children,parents’ attitudes and behaviors towards bilingual education play an important role in bilingual education for young children.The changes in family structure and the work of parents of young children have led to grandparents’ involvement in child rearing and their responsibility for child supervision and family education.What are the differences and similarities between parents and grandparents in educating young children in the national language and Tibetan language in their families?How to guide parents of parents and grandparents to establish rational and positive family language education is crucial for the healthy development of early childhood language education in Sichuan Tibetan areas.These issues are topics that need to be discussed under the changing times.This study adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,collects relevant data through questionnaires and interviews,and combines existing research to attempt to reveal the similarities and differences in intergenerational choice of bilingual education in family education for preschool children in Sichuan Tibetan areas.Based on this,targeted suggestions are proposed to improve the quality of family language education and intergenerational cooperative parenting for young children in Sichuan Tibetan areas.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is an introduction,which introduces the problem posing,literature review,core concept definition,and research design.The second part is an analysis of the overall survey results of bilingual education for young children conducted by intergenerational parents in Tibetan areas of Sichuan.Firstly,it introduces the questionnaire preparation,distribution of parents in the questionnaire survey and interviews,as well as the bilingual usage of young children.Secondly,a comparative analysis is conducted on the attitudes and behaviors of intergenerational parents towards bilingual education.It is found that intergenerational differences in bilingual education among intergenerational parents are generally significant,but there is no insurmountable intergenerational "gap" The value positioning tends to be diversified and greatly influenced by the actual living environment.The third part discusses the main issues and influencing factors reflected in the intergenerational differences in bilingual education in Tibetan families in Sichuan.It is found that the main problems include the conflict between utilitarian and non utilitarian values,the contradiction between static language views and developmental language views,and the swing between spontaneous and proactive intervention.The influencing factors of intergenerational differences in bilingual education in Tibetan families in Sichuan include cultural identity differences,cooperation in co parenting,and the lack of guidance on Tibetan family education.The fourth part proposes to vigorously strengthen the promotion and education of national bilingual education policies in Tibetan areas based on the previous analysis;Effectively improving family education guidance for bilingual education in Tibetan areas;Improve and enhance the quality of family education in Tibetan areas. |
