Chinese characters,having been part of Chinese civilization for over 6,000 years,are the source of Chinese culture’s inheritance and progress,as well as the foundation of Chinese cultural education.Primary school offers Chinese as one of its three primary courses.In primary school Chinese instruction,particularly in the lower grades,literacy teaching is a fundamental and essential responsibility.It serves to create a basis for reading,writing,and learning in the days ahead.From the centralized and decentralized teaching mode of literacy in the 1960 s,to the phonetic teaching mode and component teaching mode in the 1980 s,to the rhyme teaching mode,character theory teaching mode,character family literacy teaching mode in the 1990 s,to the present happy literacy using multimedia,there have been dozens of literacy teaching modes.Primary school literacy teaching,though made great achievements,the low efficiency of literacy teaching problem has plagued education workers,therefore,literacy teaching still have a lot of places worth exploring.This paper,beginning with a review of the existing research on literacy teaching in Chinese primary schools,concisely summarized the main issues that exist: There is sufficient instruction,yet a dearth of excellence.Ignoring children’s enthusiasm for learning,the teaching approach is mainly one of coerced indoctrination.Attention is paid by teachers to students’ memorization of Chinese characters,yet the direction of their writing of Chinese characters is disregarded.Secondly,based on the main problems in literacy teaching,the author analyzes the reasons for the inefficiency of literacy teaching from the two dimensions of teacher teaching and student learning.This paper carries out practice and theoretical reflection on literacy teaching in primary school,focuses on the in-depth discussion of Li Hu’s team’s "independent literacy and synchronous reading and writing" method.This research delves into the teaching system and practical knowledge from four angles: the production of textbooks,the resolution of the primary discrepancy between children’s command of characters and words,and how to invigorate children’s learning zeal.The utilization and outcome of textbooks.Through the reflection of the teaching reform experiment of "independent literacy and synchronous reading" in Hongzaofang Primary School,it is believed that the school-based practice model of independent literacy,which emphasizes autonomy,good motivation and cooperation,is in line with the students’ literacy law,and is a relatively efficient literacy teaching model,and its experience is worth popularizing in similar schools.At the same time,the paper also further improves the mode of "autonomous literacy and synchronous reading" in Hongzaofang Primary School from three aspects of reading will,reading skills and reading sharing,and puts forward some effective operational strategies for synchronous literacy and reading teaching in lower grades.Exploring the instruction of literacy and reading in primary school pupils,this paper employs particular practical examples,their individual features,and cognitive regulations.Additionally,it offers some suggestions.Yearning to be of assistance to those who take heed of the associated issues.These thoughts are not perfect,and the author will further explore in the future work.
