Research On Neighborhood Social Capital Cultivation Of Affordable Housing Community

In order to solve the housing problem of disadvantaged groups,China carries out the policy of affordable housing to provide the low-rent house or public rental house for the residents who meet the conditions.With the continuous construction of affordable housing,there are more and more affordable-housing communities.Most of the residents in affordable-housing communities are disadvantaged groups,and there is a common problem of weak neighborhood social capital.This paper takes M community,an affordable-housing community in Jiangmen city,as an example,and studies the cultivation of social capital in affordable-housing neighborhoods from the perspective of social-ecological system theory.This paper analyzes the current situation of neighborhood social capital in M community.The microsystem is self-enclosed,the mesosystem is weak,the exosystem is depressed,and the structural features of macrosystem are hard to change.In order to cultivate the neighborhood social capital,the community has carried out a long-term social work practice,centering on opening the microsystem,strengthening the mesosystem,optimizing the exosystem.It has achieved certain results,effectively realizing the three basic goals of improving individual adaptability,strengthening individual action and enhancing the nourishment of the environment,and promoting the virtuous cycle of each ecosystem.However,there are still some dilemmas in this community,such as it is difficult to change the profit-driven motivation of residents,difficult to form a large network from a small circle,and difficult to intervene in the structural characteristics of liquidity.In view of the above problems and dilemmas,this paper explores the ideas and strategies of the neighborhood social capital cultivation in affordable-housing communities from all levels of ecosystem.At the microsystem level,we use developmental thinking to guide residents to establish a sense of belonging,reduce residents’ insecurity and rejection of the annual housing audit system,and enhance the nourishment of the environment.At the level of mesosystem,mobilize residents to help each other,improve the quality of neighborhood social capital.At the level of exosystem,a community service model combining openness and protection should be established to reduce the psychological division between vulnerable groups and non-vulnerable groups.At the macrosystem level,we should change the perspective of publicity,strengthen positive publicity for disadvantaged groups,and eliminate social prejudice.
