Action Research Of Wang Songzhou’s "Poetic Chinese" In Senior Prose Teaching In Primary Schools

Abstract/Summary:
The "poetic language" put forward by Wang Songzhou implements the educational concept of the new curriculum standard.After the new curriculum standards were revised in 2022,the cultivation of students’ core literacy was emphasized,namely,aesthetic creation,language use,cultural self-confidence and thinking ability.Mr.Wang Songzhou’s idea of "poetic language" points to the cultivation of students’ aesthetic creation and language use.On the other hand,there are many problems in prose teaching in the senior period of S primary school taught by researchers,which need to be solved urgently.The researcher tries to use the concept of "poetic language" to improve the current situation of prose teaching in the senior period of S primary school.Based on Wang Songzhou’s idea of "poetic language" as the theoretical basis,this paper applies the specific practical strategy of "poetic language" to conduct action research in the prose class of senior grade in S primary school to verify whether the idea of "poetic language" can improve the current situation of prose teaching in senior grade in S primary school.First of all,the researcher investigated the students and teachers of grade five in S primary school in Wulanchabu,and found that the problems in prose teaching in grade five in S primary school are: students lack enthusiasm for prose learning,teachers ignore the cultivation of students’ core literacy,and the teaching class lacks emotional experience.Secondly,based on Kemis’ s action research method,the researcher designed and implemented two rounds of action research with Class C,Grade5 in S primary school as the research object.Each round of action research consists of four steps: planning,investigation,action and reflection.The first round of research aims at improving students’ interest in learning prose and grasping the emotional theme of prose.The researcher gives lectures and records and analyzes the results of action research with the help of classroom videos and classroom observation forms.This round has achieved good results.The second round of action research is aimed at cultivating students’ language use.Teachers set up relevant after-school writing exercises to test students’ pragmatic ability,and this round of action has also achieved ideal results.Finally,through two rounds of action research,the researcher comes to the conclusion that Wang Songzhou’s "poetic language" can effectively improve the current situation of prose teaching in S primary school.On this basis,combined with the successes and shortcomings in the process of action,the researcher puts forward some suggestions for improvement in the process of using the concept of "poetic language" : creating multi-sensory situations,balancing rationality and sensibility,appropriately guiding poetic speech,and paying attention to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.The conclusions and suggestions of this action research can be used as reference and effective reference for subsequent researchers and "front-line teachers" to use the concept of "poetic language".
