With the development and changes of society’s demand for talent cultivation, computational thinking has become one of the essential core competencies for high school students. Therefore, computational thinking has also become an important content in the teaching and evaluation of high school information technology courses.Developing computational thinking evaluation tools that are suitable for China’s national conditions, scientifically feasible, and convenient for teachers to operate is conducive to the healthy development of high school information technology curriculum construction and teaching.Based on the 2017 version of the Information Technology Curriculum Standards for Senior High School Students, this research has constructed a computational thinking evaluation model suitable for senior high school students, developed a computational thinking evaluation index system and evaluation tools, and used the Delphi method method to analyze the feasibility of evaluation indicators;Using content analysis to assign weights to indicators;Verify the effectiveness of evaluation tools using educational measurement methods. The first part of the paper mainly elaborates on the research background, problems, significance, objectives, content, methods, and technical roadmap; The second part mainly analyzes the current research status, related concepts, and theoretical basis of computational thinking evaluation; The third part mainly describes the construction process of the computational thinking evaluation model, and explains the connotations and relationships of various elements of the model; The fourth part mainly elaborates on the development process of the evaluation index system for computational thinking; The fifth part mainly elaborates on the design process of evaluation tools. The sixth part summarizes the experience and shortcomings in the development process of computational thinking evaluation tools.Research has found that it is feasible to evaluate the level of computational thinking development of high school students by analyzing their explicit behavior and behavioral outcomes during problem-solving.The computational thinking evaluation model, indicator system, and evaluation tool constructed based on high school curriculum standards are more suitable for the current development status of Chinese high school students, and are convenient for high school information technology teachers to operate in practice, with strong feasibility. In the study,a computational thinking evaluation tool for high school students was developed through a relatively standardized process. However, due to time and ability limitations, the number of test questions in the evaluation tool is relatively small, and the range of test subjects is small. The research results and conclusions are still biased. The author will continue to dynamically adjust the evaluation tool in subsequent research, expand the range of evaluation subjects, and improve the evaluation index system and tools.
