The core literacy of chemistry in high school is the concentrated embodiment of the value of chemistry education.As one of the core literacy of chemistry,the literacy of “scientific attitude and social responsibility”provides the requirements for solving chemical problems from the perspective of chemistry application.How to promote the development of this literacy is one of the hot topics in the field of education research.The introduction of project-based learning provides a new perspective,and it is feasible and effective to use project-based learning as a carrier to cultivate “scientific attitude and social responsibility”.This study uses constructivism theory to guide the overall research process and the design of project-based learning,and combines the recent development zone theory and cognitive-discovery learning theory as the theoretical basis of the research.The study constructs a project-based learning design framework from four aspects: design basis,design principle,design dimension and implementation process design.The design basis mainly comes from the high school chemistry curriculum standards,constructivist learning and teaching concepts,and the characteristics of learners.According to the connotation and characteristics of the literacy,and the characteristics and connotation of project-based learning,the design principles adhere to the five basic principles of scientificity,sociality,authenticity,practicality and cooperation.In the selection of design dimensions,the core knowledge,real situation,goal setting,activity organization and evaluation reflection are analyzed and explained.In the design of the implementation process,from the perspective of the actual classroom,it is composed of three aspects: project guidance,project progress report and achievement display,project evaluation and reflection.Together,the above constitutes a literacy-oriented project-based learning design framework.A survey was conducted on the development level of students’ literacy of “scientific attitude and social responsibility”.The survey results showed that most students are aware of the value of chemistry,but there are still many problems,such as the weak basic knowledge and basic skills of some students;some students believe in authority or books;have poor ability to identify pseudoscience,and have a weak spirit of daring to question;there are few problems in practicing the concepts of green chemistry,environmental protection and low carbon in life.Teaching suggestions are put forward in combination with project-based learning for above problems.According to the theoretical and research results,three literacy-oriented project-based learning cases were designed: Poster production with the theme of synthetic ammonia and Nobel Prize,preserved egg production,and popular science micro-video production with the theme of plastic pollution and recycling.Each design includes five aspects: project development background,the idea of project design,the design of project target,the design of project implementation process and the design of project evaluation.Starting from the actual learning situation and problems of students,we will consolidate basic knowledge and basic skills,improve students’ ability to solve practical problems,and develop students’ scientific attitude and social responsibility literacy.
