The physical and mental health problems caused by insufficient physical exercise among teenagers have attracted high attention from the Party, the country, and society, especially in the middle school stage.Exercise motivation is the internal psychological motivation to encourage individuals to participate in physical exercise activities, and self-efficacy is people’s confidence or belief in achieving their behavioral goals in a specific field.Exercise motivation and self-efficacy play an important role in predicting exercise behavior. There have been studies on the relationship between exercise motivation and exercise behavior and the relationship between selfefficacy and exercise behavior, but there are few studies on the relationship between exercise motivation,self-efficacy and exercise behavior.Based on this, this study mainly discusses the relationship between junior high school students’ exercise motivation,self-efficacy and exercise behavior;Whether self-efficacy plays a mediating role between exercise motivation and exercise behavior. Objective: To analyze and discuss the trend of exercise motivation, the level of self-efficacy and the status quo of physical exercise behavior of junior high school students in Zhalaite Banner.Explore the correlation and degree of influence among the three, and elaborate on the internal psychological mechanisms between the three.Provide basis and propose some feasible suggestions for subsequent practical teaching. Methods: This study used literature review, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to conduct empirical research, and used MPAM-R,GSES,PARS-3 as research tools to conduct descriptive analysis and difference test on effective data.Correlation analysis and regression analysis were used to explore junior high school students’ exercise motivation The relationship between self-efficacy and physical exercise behavior, and build a mesomeric effect model.Conclusion:(1)Students’ exercise behavior is at a moderate level of physical activity, with significant differences in gender, age, grade, and physical activity; And the exercise behavior of boys is stronger than that of girls, but it shows a downward trend with the increase of grade.(2)Students’ exercise motivation is above average, with significant differences in gender, age, grade, and exercise volume; Moreover, girls have stronger exercise motivation than boys, and their exercise motivation also increases with age and grade.(3)Students’ self-efficacy is at a high level, and there are significant differences in gender, place of origin, age, grade, and amount of exercise; The self-efficacy of boys is higher than that of girls, and the self-efficacy of urban students is higher than that of rural students. With the increase of age and grade, the self-efficacy shows a downward trend.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between students’ exercise motivation,self-efficacy and exercise behavior, and exercise motivation and self-efficacy can significantly and positively predict exercise behavior.(5)Students’ self-efficacy plays a part of mediating role between exercise motivation and exercise behavior.(6)Students’ exercise motivation can not only directly affect exercise behavior, but also affect exercise behavior through the mediation of selfefficacy. There are two influencing paths between exercise motivation and exercise behavior.Path one is the direct impact of exercise motivation;Path 2:Exercise motivation first affects self-efficacy and then affects exercise behavior.
