It is pointed out in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and the long-term goal in2035 that the cultivation of innovative talents has become the focus of attention in various fields in China,insisting on putting innovation in the first place and taking scientific and technological innovation as the support of national strategic development.Computational thinking ability is one of the essential core abilities of innovative talents.Therefore,it is very necessary to explore ways and means to cultivate students’ computational thinking ability,which is also a requirement for education under the background of the times.In this study,design-based research,questionnaire survey,observation and other survey methods were used to design and study the framework of game-based learning activities for middle school students’ computational thinking training.The main research work is as follows: Investigate the current situation of cultivating students’ computational thinking ability and find out the problems in students’ computational thinking.Based on the advantages of gamification education,this paper expounds the cultivation of computational thinking ability and the suitability of gamification education.On the basis of combing and analyzing the existing teaching mode of cultivating computational thinking,according to the five teaching stages of project-based teaching mode,gamification elements are integrated into five teaching stages,forming a design framework of gamification learning activities.The framework includes four game links: single-player entry,team PK,advanced entry and strategic analysis and adjustment.In this study,through two rounds of teaching practice,the gamification learning framework is constantly modified and improved,and finally it is obtained that the learning framework can improve students’ computing practice and computing concept ability,but it has no obvious promotion effect on computing concept.Exploring the framework of game-based learning activities not only enriches the development mode of students’ computational thinking,but also provides a new idea for cultivating students’ computational thinking ability in basic education.The game-based learning method solves the boring problems in the process of cultivating computational thinking,stimulates students’ learning motivation and enthusiasm,and plays an important role in cultivating innovative talents.
