In 2022,the "Information science and Technology Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" points out that primary school information science and technology teachers should shift their focus from only cultivating students’ subject knowledge to cultivating students’ computational thinking.Students can creatively solve problem that are closely related to real life through Knowledge and skills were learned in information science and technology courses.The tasks are presented from problem in a game.Students can discover problem,and analyze,abstract,decompose and model problems in the game.Finally,algorithms are designed to solve the problems and complete the game tasks.Students develop computational thinking in games.It is the main study of this article that how to promote students’ computational thinking development through gamification teaching in primary school information science and technology.This research adopts the methods of questionnaire,action research,interview and observation.The framework of gamification teaching activities in primary school information science and technology has been constructed based on computational thinking.Through action research,verify the effectiveness of the game based teaching activity framework.Firstly,review the existing research on the cultivation of computational thinking and gamification teaching.Survey the current situation of gamification teaching activities in primary school information science and technology from the perspective of computational thinking.It is explored that the feasibility of gamification teaching activities in primary school information science and technology from the perspective of computational thinking.Secondly,under the guidance of constructivist theory,situational cognition theory,and gamification learning theory,the principles for designing gamification teaching activities are proposed.It is constructed preliminarily that the framework of a gamification teaching activity for primary school information science and technology from the perspective of computational thinking,under Lu Ying’s gamification teaching model.Finally,two rounds of action research were used to iteratively optimize the framework.Verify the effectiveness of the gamification teaching activity framework for primary school information science and technology in cultivating primary school students’ computational thinking.The construction of a gamification teaching activity framework based on computational thinking is a beneficial exploration of gamification teaching in primary school information science and technology.It provides theoretical guidance and practical reference for cultivating students’ computational thinking in primary school information science and technology teaching.It has to some extent enriched the theory of gamification teaching of information science and technology in primary schools.It expands the computational thinking theory of primary school information science and technology.And it provides a practical approach for the development of primary school students’ computational thinking. |
