We all know that 21stcentury is an era full of competition and cooperation, which requires education reform should keep the pace with social development. That is it is necessary for us to focus on cultivating students’ability in cooperation.Under this background, this paper makes a study on the application of“cooperative learning”in Chinese reading teaching in junior high school. This paper, based on“group motivation theory”,“constructive theory”,“social interdependence theory”and“classroom instructional theory”,uses different methods like“document research method”,“survey method”and“case analysis method”.By concluding the current research situation encountered by Chinese reading teaching, this paper analyzes the problems existed in daily teaching by distributing questionnaires;besides, this paper puts forward improvement measures via analyzing cases.I come up with a group of improvement measures in terms of students and teachers. For students, first, they need to realize that they are the learning subjects and it is necessary for them to get good study habits;in their daily study,it is important for them to communicate efficiently;second, they are supposed to make good use of what they are good at and learn from others,as well as doing self-reflection.For teachers, they shall create a relaxing and harmonious atmosphere for students’study;besides, take into account of students’differences when grouping;teachers shall also play an active role in grabbing cooperation chances and perfecting assessment system etc. What’s more, this paper draws a conclusion about useful tips like setting up universal goals and taking into account of individual difference, combining the roles different played by students and teachers, considering both independent study and cooperative learning,as well as the combination between process assessment and outcome assessment. In this paper, some cases are provided, including problem-exploring-based cooperative learning,competition-based cooperative learning,debate-based cooperative learning and role-play-based cooperative learning. |
