Difficulties And Countermeasures Of Social Work Involved In Community Correction Of Juvenile

Juvenile community correction is an effective socialization method to prevent juvenile recidivism.Avoid isolation from their guardians can effectively realize personality remodeling and fundamentally control the problem of juvenile delinquency.Article 40 of the Community Correction Law of the People’s Republic of China stipulates that "community correction institutions can purchase community correction social work services or other social services through public selection to provide necessary assistance for the community correction objects in education,psychological counseling,vocational skills training,social relationship improvement and other aspects".This not only provides legal support for social work to intervene in the community correction of minors,highlights the professional value of social workers’ intervention,but also puts forward higher requirements for the construction of social work team and professional quality.Based on the ecosystem theory,Z city is selected as the field research site and studied by literature method,interview method and case method.Through the investigation of the Bureau of Justice,the Civil Affairs Bureau and other relevant units,as well as the visits to schools and communities,we can understand the current situation of juvenile community correction and the current predicament of social workers’ intervention in community correction of minors from the macro and medium levels.At the same time,the author selected two cases of juvenile community correction in Z City as observation objects,investigated social workers,juvenile community correction objects and related personnel from the micro level,deeply understood the specific practices of Z City social workers ’intervention in juvenile community correction,and analyzed the difficulties and deficiencies of social workers’ intervention in juvenile community correction.The study found that the effective intervention of social workers in juvenile community correction in Z City has many deficiencies,such as external field restrictions,such as strong policy dependence,low social recognition,insufficient participation of social forces,and insufficient wisdom correction,as well as poor operation mechanism and lack of professional talents.At the same time,from the case analysis,it is found that the practice method of social workers in Z City to intervene in juvenile community correction lacks theoretical guidance,insufficient professionalism,mechanical imitation of social workers,and lack of intervention design from the individual perspective of the case owner,so it is very necessary to innovate the intervention method of social workers.Finally,based on the results of the previous field research and the subject theory,analyzing the reasons of the social work intervention correction,exploring the countermeasures of social work intervention in community correction: at the macro level,strengthen the government policy supply,provide the necessary conditions for social work intervention through various forms,call for advocating social support,create a good ecology of correction service;at the middle level,improve the correction service standard,strengthen the linkage and coordination mechanism;at the micro level,strengthen the driving force of social work institutions and social workers,and innovate artistic healing to improve the efficiency of correction service.
