Respect for teachers and respect for teachers occupies an important position in our traditional cultural value system.In recent years,the Party and the state attach great importance to the construction of teachers.The report of the 18 th National Congress of the Party proposed to "strengthen the construction of teachers,improve the level of ethics and professional ability,and enhance the sense of honor and responsibility of teachers in teaching and educating people".The sense of professional honor of teachers is a kind of subjective emotional experience of satisfaction,self-esteem and honor generated by teachers’ positive judgment on the social value of the educational and teaching behavior they perform out of a sense of responsibility.This complex emotional experience directly affects teachers’ work enthusiasm.According to the two-factor theory(motivation-health care theory),the factors affecting employees’ work enthusiasm can be mainly divided into external factors and internal factors.When the external health care factors related to the working environment and conditions are lacking,employees’ job satisfaction will be reduced,which may lead to dimission.It is still not enough to satisfy the external health factors.There is also a need to focus on motivating factors,that is,improving teacher motivation by promoting personal achievement,social recognition,personal growth,etc.This paper attempts to explore the basic situation of teachers’ sense of professional honor in local colleges and universities from an empirical perspective.Based on the case study of colleges and universities in G region,this paper analyzes its influencing factors and puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.The university teachers in G region were selected as the survey samples,and relevant data and materials were obtained through literature research,questionnaires and in-depth interviews.The data were analyzed by SPSS and other analysis software.The results show that the university teachers in G region have a good sense of professional honor,and there are differences in the university teachers’ sense of professional honor,such as age,teaching age,establishment and honor level.Further analysis,the factors that affect the sense of honor of teachers in local colleges and universities include: teacher honor awarding system and subsidy policy is not perfect;Pay increases are slow and promotion opportunities are unfair;The level of professional prestige is low.In view of the above problems,this paper holds that teachers’ professional honor should be enhanced from three aspects: effective guarantee of the system,social recognition and teachers’ personal value orientation.Specifically,the effective guarantee includes: first,improve the honor system mechanism,enhance the sense of honor of teachers;Second,increase financial input and implement incentive policies differently;Third,establish and improve the promotion mechanism,improve the professional environment of local college teachers;Fourth,strengthen humanistic care and improve the professional reputation of teachers in local colleges and universities.Social identity includes: through the mass media to effectively transmit the honorary value and humanistic care of college teachers to improve the professional reputation of local college teachers;Self-recognition includes: first,improving the professional honor of college teachers in the ideal and belief;The second is to enhance the professional honor sense of college teachers through moral sentiment;The third is to enhance the sense of professional honor of college teachers through solid knowledge.
