The curriculum reform of basic education in China attaches importance to cultivating students’ innovation and practical ability.All sectors of society strive to explore ways to cultivate students’ innovation ability.The cultivation of creativity has become a key part of basic education.The application of visual thinking is an important part of creativity.The key lies in the use of visual thinking methods to cultivate visual thinking ability.However,there is a problem that the research and application of visual thinking teaching in basic education is not in-depth.The research of Design Thinking Curriculum in the field of basic education is becoming more and more mature,and has also become a key innovative means to cultivate students’ creativity.However,the part of visual application research is not sufficient,and there is a cross teaching dilemma between visual thinking,design thinking and basic education.In order to solve the above problems,based on the knowledge of design,pedagogy and other related fields,using the research methods of literature research,comparative research,interdisciplinary research,induction and deduction,observation and project practice,the relationship between visual thinking and primary school design thinking education is established from the two aspects of visual thinking theory and practice,combined with the objectives,contents and methods of primary school design thinking teaching,Discover the teaching problems of visual thinking in primary school design thinking curriculum,and build a professional research perspective for the research of visual thinking in design thinking.From the perspective of the teaching application of visual thinking,relying on the theory and development of visual thinking,this study defines the specific connotation of visual thinking in this study,forms the application strategy of the three links of visual thinking "Viewing-Imagination-Construction" in the teaching of primary school design thinking,summarizes the application principles of visual thinking teaching,and carries out the practice of visual thinking in the teaching of primary school design thinking course according to the application strategy of visual thinking,Complete the final inquiry.Therefore,corresponding to visual situational thinking,visual divergent thinking and visual reverse thinking in visual thinking,this thesis puts forward important application methods of visual thinking teaching in primary school design thinking curriculum,namely visual transformation method,visual communication method and visual association method,optimizes teachers’ teaching methods,and provides feasible support for the visual thinking research perspective in primary school design thinking teaching.
