Since the country released a series of documents related to the management of campus bullying,all kinds of schools at all levels have been actively exploring ways to prevent and control campus bullying.After several years of governance,the current situation of school bullying,what effective governance measures to take,and what governance methods still need to be improved need to be further studied.The rural boarding junior high school used to be a high incidence area of campus bullying.It is of great significance to select one of these schools as the research object to understand the current governance effectiveness and governance mode of the school.This study draws on previous questionnaires on campus bullying,and develops a self-designed questionnaire on the current situation and influencing factors of rural boarding junior high school campus bullying in combination with its own research objects.Through investigation and research,it is found that the bullying situation in X junior middle school is generally good,and the incidence of verbal bullying is the highest among the five types of bullying,followed by physical bullying.There are significant differences in gender,academic performance,whether they are transfer students,whether they have ever been class leaders,parents’ communication styles,and parental rearing styles in different types of bullying;There were significant differences in gender,academic performance,parents’ working abroad,and parental rearing styles among different types of bullying.Height,weight,family economic status,parents’ beating and scolding education,family member relationship,school discipline,teacher-student relationship,publicity and education,good peer behavior,bad peer behavior,peer rejection,peer fear are related to different types of bullying;Height,weight,family member relationship,school discipline,teacher-student relationship,publicity and education,good peer behavior,bad peer behavior,peer refusal are related to different types of bullying.School level variables have no significant impact on the encounter and implementation of campus bullying.Student individual characteristics,family level variables and peer level variables have significant impact on the encounter and implementation of campus bullying.Because boarding school students spend most time with their peers,peer level variables have the most significant impact on the encounter and implementation of campus bullying,This is also the difference between rural boarding junior high school bullying and other types of school bullying.Next,through interviews and observations,we can further understand what governance methods X Junior Middle School has adopted to make the school’s campus bullying in good overall condition.Through research,it is found that the school has taken the following excellent practices in managing campus bullying:At the level of prevention,we take multiple measures and work together;At the disposal level,actively respond and reasonably dispose;Follow up and guide actively at the level of aftermath.However,there are also some problems,such as insufficient effectiveness of the work in the prevention stage,imperfect working mechanism in the treatment stage,and insufficient intervention in the aftermath stage.Although the overall situation of bullying in the school is good,the values of verbal bullying and physical bullying are still high,and with the continuous evolution of bullying forms,there may be some new bullying situations,and the original suppressed bullying may also rebound.Therefore,it is necessary to continuously optimize the school governance mode and establish a long-term mechanism of bullying in the school.In view of the problems existing in the governance of X Junior Middle School,combined with the previous empirical research,this paper puts forward optimization suggestions from the three levels of prevention,treatment and aftermath.:At the level of prevention,we should build a campus culture with humanistic care,enrich the content and form of publicity and education activities,conduct regular surveys,add campus bullying response channels,cultivate students’ social emotional ability,and establish a family school community linkage prevention mechanism.At the disposal level,a campus bullying team was set up to develop a guide manual to prevent and control student bullying,increase the cost of relieving bullying students,and hold guardians accountable for their supervision and dereliction of duty.In the aspect of aftermath,we should summarize,record and report the bullying events,strengthen the care education for both parties involved,pay attention to the continuous education for all students,and relieve the psychological pressure of the head teacher.With a view to improving the governance of bullying in X junior middle school through the above research,and providing some reference for rural boarding junior middle schools to manage bullying on campus.
