Kindergarten education is an important component of national education,with two major functions and tasks: the first is to promote the comprehensive development of young children,which is also the core task of kindergarten education;the second is to lay a foundation and prepare young children for entry into primary school.The kindergarten curriculum bears the core function of kindergarten education and is an important factor that affects the high-quality development of kindergarten education.Therefore,understanding the current status of kindergarten curriculum and the implementation of the transition to primary school is of great practical significance for improving the work of transition from kindergarten to primary school.This research randomly selected 10 kindergartens in L County in eastern Henan as research subjects and used methods such as questionnaire,literature review,case analysis,and interview to study the current situation of curriculum setting and implementation in these kindergartens.There are several issues with the curriculum setting of the kindergarten.The specific issues are as follows: The recognition of the connection between early childhood education is one-sided and neglects comprehensive educational preparation.The uneven setting of the five major areas in kindergarten is not conducive to the comprehensive development of young children.The insufficient duration of outdoor activities for young children makes it difficult to lay a good physical foundation for elementary school learning.The lack of opportunities for young children to exercise their language expression abilities makes it difficult to meet the reading needs of elementary school.Teachers’ understanding of the social field is relatively shallow,which is not conducive to the preparation for developing rules in elementary school;overemphasis on skill development in art education,neglect of children’s experience and expression in art;the selection of scientific content is unbalanced and neglects the cultivation of scientific inquiry abilities and one-sided understanding of the transition from kindergarten to primary school,and the neglect of comprehensive educational preparation for the transition.Subsequently,the author conducted an analysis of factors that may affect the curriculum setting of kindergartens.Based on the main problems and reasons for the curriculum setting in kindergartens,the author proposed the following suggestions: Strengthen the communication between kindergarten and elementary school,and continuously improve the effectiveness of early childhood education.Optimize the curriculum setting of kindergarten and improve the existing shortcomings(appropriately increase physical exercise for young children to meet the needs of physical development and elementary school physical intensity;establish a sound system for cultivating preschool entry readiness to help young children prepare for school).Strengthen teacher training and improve the level of teachers’ education and teaching(based on the recent development areas of teachers,provide effective teacher training;teachers constantly "recharge" themselves and improve their self-reflection abilities).Attach importance to the role of parents and achieve effective communication between home and school.Fully utilize the resources around kindergartens and strengthen the construction of kindergarten-based curricula.
