| Doing a good job in the education and training of minority students is the focus of ethnic education,and actively training qualified minority construction talents for Xinjiang has become the responsibility of mainland colleges and universities.In 2020,the Guiding Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council on Promoting the Development of the Western Region in the New Era to Form a New Pattern also clearly pointed out:"Encourage and support ministries and universities and local universities to’order’ training of professional talents in the western region." To do a good job in the ideological and political education of Xinjiang minority students in mainland universities is to implement the requirements of the Central Government.As a region with unique natural endowments and a special geographical location,Xinjiang is also an important area where ethnic minorities gather.With the strong support of the Party and the Nation,Xinjiang has achieved high-quality economic,cultural and educational development,and an increasing number of students of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are studying in colleges and universities on the mainland.Due to the multiple influences of ethnic culture,religious belief,living environment,communication mode and economic and educational development in the places where they come from,some Xinjiang minority students studying in mainland colleges and universities are significantly different from students in other areas in terms of ideology and educational background,which makes the subject,object and carrier of education face many problems.How to strengthen and improve the ideological and political education of ethnic minority students in Xinjiang under the complex and changing background of the new era is not only a key issue facing higher education in the new era,but also a major task to maintain national stability,achieve long-term stability in Xinjiang,and realize social harmony and prosperity.Based on the importance of ideological and political education of Xinjiang ethnic minority students in mainland colleges and universities in the new era,this paper has carried out in-depth research on the issue of ideological and political education of Xinjiang ethnic minority students in mainland colleges and universities through the methods of literature research and empirical research.First of all,this paper expounds the background and significance of ideological and political education of Xinjiang ethnic minority students,summarizes the current research situation at home and abroad,and discusses the important value,opportunities and challenges of ideological and political education of Xinjiang ethnic minority students in mainland colleges and universities in the new era.Secondly,based on the questionnaire survey,the author carried out an in-depth investigation on the ideological and political education of students in mainland colleges and universities,and found that the situation of ideological and political education of ethnic minority students in Xinjiang is not optimistic,and the educational methods are not scientific and effective.Finally,the article puts forward four countermeasures:perfecting the content system of ideological and political education,strengthening the construction of ideological and political education carrier,improving the methods and means of ideological and political education teaching,and strengthening the construction of ideological and political education teachers.Through these methods and measures,we can further clarify the value and implication of ideological and political education for ethnic minority students,improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education for ethnic minority students in Xinjiang,and promote national ethnic unity and social stability and progress. |
