Reading is an important way for human beings to acquire knowledge and increase wisdom.It is also an important way for the development of a national spirit and the inheritance of civilization.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the party and the state have attached great importance to reading,proposed the cultural project of "building a scholarly society and carrying out nationwide reading",and promoted the continuous development of nationwide reading in the whole society.Reading is an important part of College Students’ study and life,which plays a very important role in improving college students’ Ideological and moral realm and establishing correct values.Generally speaking,the current situation of College Students’ reading is generally satisfactory,but some students have some reading problems,such as shallow reading,utilitarian reading,fragmented reading and indifference to classics.Therefore,in view of the problems existing in college students’ reading,strengthening college students’ reading education and helping college students develop correct reading concepts have become an important issue facing the ideological and political education in Colleges and universities.In view of this,this paper selects college students’ reading problems for research.This paper adopts the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and so on.On the basis of learning from and absorbing the previous research results of domestic and foreign scholars on reading problems,starting from the basic theory of reading,this paper selects college students from three universities in Liaoning Province to carry out a questionnaire survey to sort out the current situation and main problems of College Students’ reading,and comprehensively analyzes the factors of the problems Based on the systematic analysis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to strengthen college students’ reading education.The main research contents and achievements are as followsFirst of all,this paper investigates the current situation of College Students’ reading,designs a questionnaire on the current situation of College Students’ reading,and conducts a sampling survey on three college students in Liaoning Province.The results show that some college students have some problems,such as insufficient understanding of the importance of reading,unreasonable reading content structure,unscientific reading methods and unclear reading value.Secondly,the paper makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis on the factors of the problems in college students’ reading.The analysis points out that some college students’ reading problems are caused by the following factors: diversified social thoughts,social pan entertainment atmosphere,insufficient exertion of the advantages of Ideological and political theory courses in Colleges and universities,inadequate reading services in libraries,campus reading cultural activities to be improved,weak self reading awareness,reading ability and lack of reading planning.Finally,it puts forward the countermeasures to strengthen the reading education of college students.Specifically,it includes: creating a good atmosphere of reading public opinion,improving policies and systems related to reading,giving full play to parents’ reading demonstration role,strengthening the important role of Ideological and political theory reading,giving full play to the reading service function of the library,carrying out colorful campus reading activities,developing reading habits,improving reading ability and cultivate cultural self-confidence.It is expected that these countermeasures and suggestions can provide reference for strengthening college students’ reading education.
