| The twenty reports clearly put forward the strategy of strengthening the country by talents.Improving the quality of the population and improving the quality of talents are the prerequisite factors for strengthening the country by talents.However,the continuous development of the aging population is not conducive to the improvement and efficient supply of talents.Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,although the economy has grown in an all-round way,urbanization has provided job opportunities and driven many rural labor forces to work outside cities.Although the outflow of labor force increases the rural family income,it also impacts the traditional rural family structure and the way of supporting the elderly.Our country is already an aging country,plus originally is a large agricultural country,the rural old population is more than the cities,the development of rural areas is not as good as the cities.Currently,the rural old population pension problem is more and more prominent,therefore,the rural old people in the pension challenge.In view of the above background,in order to study the rural elderly’s willingness to choose pension methods,this paper selects the rural elderly aged 60 and above as research samples based on CLASS(2018)data.By screening and setting relevant questions of the questionnaire,the selection of pension methods for the rural elderly can be divided into family pension and social pension.From the five dimensions of intergenerational support to study its impact on the way of aged care,including children’s economic support to parents,parents to children’s economic support,children to parents’ life care,parents to grandchildren(female)intergenerational care and spiritual comfort five dimensions.Through the descriptive analysis of samples,correlation analysis and Probit regression analysis,this paper makes an empirical study on how intergenerational support affects the choice of ways for the elderly in rural areas.Based on the Quantitative analysis results,the following conclusions are drawn:first,regarding the situation of the elderly in rural areas,the results show that family pension is the mainstream and social pension is less,which is in line with the actual situation,it also reflects that the elderly in rural areas rely on the long-term life of the family,the traditional family pension is still the first choice for the elderly in rural areas;it also shows that the social pension mechanism is not yet perfect,the recognition of the rural elderly to the social endowment needs to be improved.Secondly,in the aspect of influencing the choice of the mode of providing for the aged,in the aspect of individual characteristics,age,education level,health status,basic pension and personal income of urban and rural residents have significant effects on the choice of old-age pension.The service for the aged is not only the responsibility of the family,but also the responsibility of the society.Therefore,based on the results of the empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some suggestions from the macrocosm and microcosm level.On the macro level,the government should make a good policy of providing basic old-age services and give full play to the functions of public services,to provide differentiated and diversified services for the aged.At the micro-level,children should learn to be financially independent and provide care and companionship to their parents;encourage their children to settle down near them and increase support for the aged;and the elderly themselves should make good plans for the aged and change their concept of supporting the aged.The research in this paper provides support and suggestions for solving the problem of providing for the aged in rural areas. |
