| Homework is an indispensable part of the teaching process,an important means for students to acquire knowledge, develop abilities, and cultivate qualities, and a direct basis for evaluating and improving teaching for both teachers and students.Under the "double reduction" policy, the issue of students’ homework burden has once again entered the public eye,and how to lighten students’ homework load and design homework scientifically and reasonably has become a common concern in the field of educational theory and practice research. This study selected math homework for upper-grade elementary school students as the research object, and used a combination of theoretical research and survey research methods to explore the design strategies of math homework under the background of "double reduction".Firstly, through theoretical analysis of the "double reduction" policy, basic education curriculum reform, and elementary school math curriculum standards, this study attempted to propose general principles for designing math homework for upper-grade students in elementary school, including the principle of simplicity, hierarchy, integration, application, development, and interest.Secondly, taking H Primary School in Shenzhen as an example, this study used questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews to understand the current situation of math homework for upper-grade students in elementary schools under the background of "double reduction".The survey found the following issues: teachers have a shallow understanding of "double reduction",and homework is numerous but not refined;teachers have an inaccurate understanding of the new curriculum standards, and homework is homogeneous and fragmented;teachers have an insufficient understanding of the evaluation function, and homework evaluation is rigid;teachers have insufficient teaching input, and homework forms are single;teachers have limited education thinking, and the function of homework is narrow. To address these main issues, the study proposes the following optimization strategies: establish a scientific concept of homework, and play the function of homework in education;properly control the quantity of homework content, and effectively reduce the burden and increase efficiency;target long-term homework goals, and enhance students’ core competencies;optimize the structure of homework evaluation, and enhance students’ learning motivation;diversify homework types, and promote students’ comprehensive development. |
