In 2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools that "Civics is the key course for implementing the fundamental task of establishing moral education,and the role of Civics is irreplaceable." In 2022,the Curriculum Standards for Ethics and the Rule of Law in Compulsory Education,promulgated by the Ministry of Education,clearly states that it is necessary to further deepen curriculum reform,strengthen the comprehensive and practical nature of the curriculum,promote changes in the way of educating people,and focus on developing students’ core literacy.Using anchored instruction is helpful to implement the new requirements of curriculum standards and to cultivate students’ core qualities.Based on infectious,vivid and real events,anchored instruction creates a good problem situation for students.Once students are in the situation,they can participate and think through independent learning,collaborative inquiry,question and answer,and evaluation and reflection,so that they can actively construct knowledge and enhance their literacy in a warm and joyful classroom atmosphere.The application of anchored instruction in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school is conducive to deepening the theory of education and teaching,promoting the reform of education and teaching,improving the efficiency of classroom teaching,and implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and people.The paper consists of an introduction,a body and a conclusion,with the following four main sections.The first part is an overview of anchored instruction.This section describes the concept,theoretical basis,the value of using it and the steps to use it.The second part is the analysis of the status quo of anchored instruction in the Moral and Rule of Law course of junior high school.Questionnaires to students and interviews with teachers show that the use of anchor instruction has been effective in improving the quality of teachers’ teaching,cultivating students’ awareness of problems and building a good relationship between teachers and students.At the same time,the problems and reasons for the use of anchored instruction in junior high school Morality and Law classes are analysed from the perspectives of teachers’ willingness to use anchored instruction and the specific application of anchored instruction.The third part is the principle and strategy of anchored instruction in the Moral and Rule of Law course of junior high school.This section is a key chapter.This part puts forward the principles of science,life and production.On this basis,this paper puts forward specific application strategies from the following six aspects:Teachers should strengthen the sense of use,enhance the theoretical learning and practical skills;Create the situation leads to the "anchor",carefully design to determine the "anchor";Teachers highlight students’ main position in the link of "anchor analysis" and improve the ability of independent learning;Teachers should strengthen students’ ability of "researching anchor" and design inquiry activities reasonably;Teachers should enhance the guiding role of "unanchoring" class and strengthen organization and management;Teachers should optimize the evaluation system of "provincial anchor" and strengthen teaching reflection.The fourth part is a complete teaching design,taking the lesson "Reverence for life" in the second box of the eighth lesson of the seventh grade of Morality and Law of the Unified Textbook as an example,showing the use of anchor instruction in the teaching of Morality and Law of the Middle School.
