| The renovation of old residential areas is an important measure to implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,solve the problem of imbalanced and insufficient urban development and achieve the people’s aspirations for a better life.It is a livelihood project related to the people.In recent years,local governments across the country have introduced corresponding policies to increase the promotion of renovation projects for old residential areas.Due to the wide scope and difficulty of the renovation of old residential areas,the effectiveness of the renovation project is directly related to the interests of residents.Therefore,the government encourages residents to participate.Therefore,scholars have also studied the issue of residents’ participation in old residential areas,but most of them have focused on studying residents’ willingness to participate,the management mechanism of residents’ participation,and the factors that affect residents’ participation behavior.There is still room for further research on the mechanism by which residents’ participation behavior affects project performance.This article studies the impact of residents’ participation behavior on the performance of renovation projects from the perspective of residents’ participation.Through domestic and foreign literature,the history and process of the development of old residential areas are understood,and the concepts of old residential areas and residents’ participation are analyzed.Based on citizen participation theory,public participation ladder theory,and collaborative governance theory,combined with the actual situation of renovation projects in old residential areas in Shangqiu City,residents’ participation behavior is divided,It can be divided into four types of behavior:active whole process participation behavior,general symbolic participation behavior,active stage participation behavior,and passive intervention participation behavior.This thesis takes the renovation project of an old residential area in Shangqiu City as an example,analyzes the process of residents participating in the renovation project,and summarizes the problems encountered by residents participating in the renovation.On the basis of reading literature and combining with actual situations,relevant hypotheses about the relationship between participation behavior and performance were proposed,research models were determined,survey questionnaires were designed,and the reliability and validity of the collected questionnaire data were tested using statistical analysis software SPSS 26.On the basis of reliability and validity testing of various variables,structural equation modeling was used to validate the proposed hypotheses using AMOS 26 software.The empirical results indicate that positive whole process participation behavior,general symbolic participation behavior,and active stage participation behavior in residents’ participation behavior will have a positive impact on project performance and process management;Process management has a positive impact on project performance,while passive intervention behavior has a negative impact on process management and performance;In addition to passive intervention behavior,process management plays a mediating role in other participating behaviors and project performance.Based on the empirical research of old residential areas in Shangqiu City,it is of great practical significance to better guide the renovation work of old residential areas in Shangqiu area.Based on the empirical results,suggestions are provided from the government to guide residents to actively participate,guide residents to actively participate,prevent residents’ obstructive participation behavior in advance,improve project performance in old residential areas,strengthen process management,establish long-term management mechanisms,and enhance residents’ sense of social responsibility. |
