Research On The Integration And Development Of Large Sports Events And Cities In Sichuan Province

Cities want to better develop and gain competitiveness,usually choose to hold large-scale sports events to enhance the competitiveness of the city,but the holding of large-scale sports events usually cost the host city a huge amount of financial and material resources,how to coordinate the relationship between large-scale sports events and urban development has been a very valuable problem to discuss.The relationship between large-scale sports events and urban integrated development is increasingly obvious.The two influence each other and promote each other to make progress together.However,the cities in the province have been lacking specific policies until 2017,when Chengdu,Sichuan Province proposed the construction of a famous event city.After five years from the proposal of this idea to the implementation of 2021 "Construction Outline of a Famous Event City",Chengdu has issued specific policies to provide policy support for the development of "Event City integration" in Chengdu and accelerate the development pace of "Event City integration" in other cities in the province.On the basis of existing studies,this paper takes large-scale sports events and urban integrated development of Sichuan Province as the research object,and quantitatively measures the development level of large-scale sports events and urban integrated development of Sichuan Province through literature,field research,case analysis and coupled coordination model.First,the principle of large-scale sports events and urban integrated development is analyzed.The principle mainly analyzes the relationship between large-scale sports events and urban development,the connotation and effect of the integration of the two,Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of the integrated development of large-scale sports events and cities in Sichuan Province and makes an empirical analysis of the integrated development level.Then,it analyzes the case of the integrated development of large-scale sports events and cities in Chengdu,Sichuan Province.Finally,it provides reference suggestions for the better integration of large-scale sports events and cities in Sichuan province.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)There is a good coupling between the large-scale sports event system and the urban development system in Sichuan Province.The two systems interact with each other and have two-way empowerment.(2)The integrated development of large-scale sports events and cities in Sichuan Province has a broad prospect,and the strong support of governments at all levels also provides a good environment for the integration of large-scale sports events and urban development.(3)Based on the coupled coordination model,the comprehensive development level of large-scale sports events system and urban development system in Sichuan Province is on the rise on the whole,and the development gap between them is gradually narrowing.From 2015 to 2019,the comprehensive evaluation value of large-scale sports events system in Sichuan Province is lower than that of urban development system.In 2020,the comprehensive evaluation value of large-scale sports events exceeded the comprehensive evaluation value of urban development system.From 2015 to 2020,the coupling coordination degree of the two systems was gradually transformed from mild disharmony to high-level coupling coordination,which can be divided into preliminary period(2015-2016),development period(2017-2018)and stable period(2019-2020).It reflects the continuous improvement of the integrated development level of large-scale sports events and cities in Sichuan Province.Finally,through the method of combining theory and demonstration,this paper finally puts forward the following four proposes for better integrated development of the two:(1)to accelerate the development of large-scale fitness sports events in Sichuan province;(2)to tamp the integration of large-scale sports events and related industries in Sichuan province;(3)to optimize the spatial-temporal layout of large-scale sports events in Sichuan Province;and(4)to improve relevant policies.
