The 20 th report points out that we should enhance the influence of Chinese civilization, adhere to the position of Chinese culture, accelerate the construction of Chinese discourse and Chinese narrative system, and improve the effectiveness of international communication.Wing Chun is an attractive traditional martial art of the Chinese nation, which has a high reputation and influence in the world, and plays an important role in serving the national culture "going out" strategy, spreading Chinese traditional culture and enhancing international discourse. As a traditional sport with strong technical and combative colors,Wing Chun is not only a kind of internal astringency, but also an external flair, which is reflected in its every move and style, which makes Wing Chun popular at home and abroad. Before the liberation of New China,Wing Chun was still a small southern style, not well known to the public, but after 1950,through the spread of Yip Man and his disciples,Wing Chun began to spread widely in Hong Kong,China, and gradually spread to the rest of the world, that is,in this period,Wing Chun towards the international spread of the road. The successful spread of Wing Chun in Germany is one of the most representative cases.Germany has one of the largest Wing Chun communities outside of China, and it is home to many Wing Chun schools and practitioners. The Wing Chun system was brought to Germany by Grandmaster Keith Kernspecht, who established the first Wing Chun organization(EWTO)in Germany in 1976.Since then, many other Wing Chun schools and organizations have emerged throughout Germany, and Wing Chun has become a popular martial art and selfdefense system in the country. How did Wing Chun spread to Germany and integrate deeply with the local community, given the huge cultural differences between East and West? In this paper, from the perspective of communication, sociology and history, using mass communication theory, literature, text analysis and web ethnography,we study the historical evolution of Wing Chun and its localization in Germany to reveal the laws of Wing Chun cultural transmission from the theoretical point of view, and discuss the logic of interaction between Wing Chun Quan and German society, taking history as a reference, and using the point as a surface,in the context of cultural self-confidence,we explore the practical problems of international communication of traditional sports, especially the path of internationalization and localization of traditional sports in China.A preliminary analysis suggests that Wing Chun has gone through three stages in its introduction to Germany:(1)the Chinese Hong Kong dissemination era-reforming and innovating Wing Chun, introducing Wing Chun into the window of foreign dissemination, and laying the foundation for the international dissemination of Wing Chun;(2)the global dissemination era-expanding the popularity of Wing Chun in the world, and promoting the development of Wing Chun "locally";(3)the German dissemination era-creating Wing Chun dissemination organizations, and initiating the development of Wing Chun "locally".(2)the era of global communication-expanding the popularity of Wing Chun in the world, promoting the formation of Wing Chun "localization" development;(3)the era of German communication-the creation of Wing Chun communication organizations, the beginning of German Wing Chun(3)The era of German propagation-the creation of the Wing Chun propagation organization, the beginning of the German Wing Chun "localization" propagation road, leading Wing Chun to become the trend of European martial arts.Through combing the history of Wing Chun’s dissemination,we find that Wing Chun has gone through the process of Chinese Hong Kong-global-Germany,showing a dissemination route from local to global, and then to local, thus realizing the development of Wing Chun’s localization.Further research reveals that after Wing Chun entered Germany,it went through three stages of adaptation in the nascent stage, adjustment in the development stage and integration in the mature stage, gradually developing from a traditional Chinese martial art into a modern self-defense technique with a strong oriental culture – Wing Tsun.Secondly,in the development stage,Wing Tsun newspaper was founded, teachers’ institute was created, and family concept was shaped;finally,in the development stage, diversified courses were offered, higher education institutions were entered, and network platforms were built. With a series of improvements and innovations,Wing Chun has accomplished its mission of localization and become a modern self-defense art popular in Europe.Through the successful experience of localization of Wing Chun,we can draw inspiration for the current dissemination of traditional martial arts, and believe that traditional martial arts should: optimize its own development and improve the dissemination system;rely on national policies and strengthen top-level design;rely on social forces and establish social organizations;strengthen the cultivation of talents and build a dissemination team;highlight the roots of technical combat and emphasize the use of practical combat;build local identity and promote cultural identity;strengthen media dissemination and Expanding the communication field. This study takes the spread of Wing Chun in Chinese Hong Kong as the starting point and the key figures in the spread of Wing Chun as the landing point, and compares the spread of Wing Chun from the 1950 s to the 1970 s to lay the theoretical foundation for the spread of Wing Chun in Germany. After that, the development of Wing Chun in Germany from the 1970 s onwards is reviewed, presenting a fine historical picture. In general,it seems that Wing Chun has gone through interpersonal, group, organizational, and mass diffusion, which has made Wing Chun stand out from other traditional martial arts and become a well-known traditional Chinese martial art in Europe. In view of the value of traditional martial arts culture, the drive of globalization of sports, the modern pluralism of traditional martial arts culture, the construction of a new national image of China and the enhancement of China’s cultural soft power,China needs to take on a greater obligation and responsibility to make the localized dissemination of traditional martial arts an important part of China’s cultural "going out".This will gradually push traditional martial arts to the center of the world cultural stage, thus continuing the legendary chapter of Chinese traditional culture.
