Research On The Organization And Operation Of College Basketball Competition Venues In Chengdu World University Game

The outbreak of social and public safety events has significantly impacted various countries worldwide,causing severe economic losses.The impact on the holding of sporting events has been particularly intense,leading to the postponement or closed-loop holding of numerous international affairs,for example,the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics and the closed-loop management of the Beijing Winter Olympics.To explore the optimal route for the healthy and sound operation of sports under the particular social control environment,Chengdu,Sichuan Province,still set the city’s efforts to carefully prepare for the 31 st World University Games in an attempt to guarantee the healthy organization and operation of sports events,as well as to provide valuable experience for Chengdu to become a world city of events and a world city of culture.This paper examines the organization and operation of the basketball court of the University of Electronic Science and Technology in the high-tech zone of the Chengdu Universiade using literature,expert interviews,and fieldwork.By studying the organization and operation of the National CUBA Women’s Top 24 Test Tournament and the Chengdu Youth Basketball Championship(Secondary School Division)at the University of Electronic Science and Technology(UST)basketball arena in the Gaoxin District of the Chengdu Universiade,we explore the case practices and shortcomings of the organization and operation of the basketball arena at UST in the Gaoxin District of the Chengdu Universiade.Together we provide valuable experiences for constructing Chengdu as a world event city.The study will provide a case study and theoretical basis for creating Chengdu as a world-famous event city.The following conclusions were drawn from the study.1.The competition organization and operation of the basketball stadiums of the Chengdu2021 FISU World University Games begin at the pre-competition stage and ends at the end of the competition,through the competition period,with three phases,each phase being continuous and with different work tasks,the next phase being a continuation of the next phase.It is found through the research that the successful implementation of competition organization and operation of sports event venues is through the extraction and integration of competition-related work requirements,the programmatic design of the competition,and then the formation of a standardized system and then the gradual promotion from top to bottom,that is,to constitute a relatively stable,standardized and standardized competition organization and operation system model.2.From the point of view of the competition operation form,the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games basketball competition venues strictly follow the requirements of the competition committee to organize the competition;venue management adopts a linear functional management model,forming a venue-working group-work commissioner-team members and volunteers of the organizational structure model,to ensure the excellent development of the competition organization and operation.All work is carried out with the competition working group as the core,and the venue operation concept of "venue as the basis,competition as the core,competition area as the guarantee" is strictly implemented.Venue operation is the process of protection,management,and service,through the cooperation between the three and resource allocation,to achieve the organization and operation of sports events to improve the efficiency of resources conversion rate.3.The University of Electronic Science and Technology(UST)basketball stadium in the Chengdu Universiade High-Tech Zone was a successful basketball tournament,a major step towards the introduction of sporting events into universities through collaboration between the university,the government and society.The different forms of organisation and management of the sports competition have helped to boost the popularity of sports in universities,stimulate the interest of young people in sports and accelerate the integration of "Healthy China,Strong Sports" into social life.4.Sporting events themselves face many risks.The study found that the uncertainty of the event itself is further amplified in the context of public health events.The schedule is subject to change at any time due to the need to prevent and control public health events at the host venue.Through its two test events,the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games has provided valuable experience in organizing and managing international sporting events in the face of public safety emergencies.At the same time,the two test events were only open to domestic participants,and the organizational control model has yet to be tested by the competition.
