The Evolution Of The Spatial Situation Of The Global Competition Pattern Of The Winter Olympics Since The New Century And China's Response Strateg

In 2002,the China Winter Olympics Corps won the first gold medal in China in Salt Lake City.In sharp contrast,in 2022,the China Corps successfully ended the Beijing Winter Olympics journey by ranking third in the gold medal list.In the past two decades,with the transformation of China’s winter Olympics competitiveness from "breakthrough" to "near the peak" and all-round competition from "point" to "face",a brand-new winter Olympics competition pattern is being rewritten.In this context,the number of medals is constantly refreshing,and Beijing won the right to host the 24 th Winter Olympics in 2015.China’s ice and snow sports have ushered in an unprecedented development opportunity and become a new engine and new kinetic energy for China to continuously climb the peak of the Winter Olympics.Similarly,due to the all-round competition in China,the intensification of international conflicts,the downward economic situation,the COVID-19 epidemic and other factors,the global competition situation of the future Winter Olympics is bound to be unpredictable.In this regard,how China takes a targeted response strategy according to the situation in the "ever-changing" situation is an important determinant for China Winter Olympics Corps to continue to climb to the top in the future and achieve the goal of becoming a powerful country in ice and snow.Therefore,taking the important time when China won the first gold medal in the Winter Olympics as a node,this paper studies the global competition pattern of Winter Olympics since the new century,with a view to providing general suggestions for China in a complex environment.In this study,literature,mathematical statistics,Jenks natural breakpoint classification,nuclear density analysis,standard deviation ellipse and other research methods are used to systematically sort out the global competition pattern and evolution trend of the Winter Olympics as a whole and three categories of events,and on this basis,explore the development achievements of China’s ice and snow sports in the new century and the practical difficulties faced in the process of climbing the peak of the Winter Olympics,and put forward China’s countermeasures according to the development characteristics of a strong country in ice and snow sports.The research results show that:1)The global competition situation of the Winter Olympics is complicated.The overall dynamic analysis shows that the global competition of the Winter Olympics is centered on European countries represented by Norway and Germany,Asia represented by China,South Korea and Japan,North America represented by the United States and Canada has strong sustainable competitiveness in individual projects,Oceania represented by Australia and New Zealand has weak competitiveness,and Africa and South America have no competitiveness.Short track speed skating and figure skating,as the traditional advantages of China,have strong competitiveness,but the international competitiveness of snow sports and skating needs to be improved urgently.2)The development characteristics of a powerful country of ice and snow have brought many inspirations to the development of ice and snow sports in China,mainly in attaching importance to the population base of ice and snow,and relying on the huge mass ice and snow groups to continuously provide kinetic energy for competitive ice and snow sports.In addition,attention should be paid to the cultivation of ice and snow talents,the improvement of the competitiveness of ice and snow projects by science and technology,and the nourishment of the cultural connotation of ice and snow sports to the development of the project.3)The achievements and realistic difficulties in the development of ice and snow sports in China since the new century.Achievements: successive breakthroughs in competition results;The cultural connotation of the event is deepening;Competition technology continues to help improve the level of competition;Realistic dilemma: the top-level design highlights the guidance of the goal too much,and the operational policy details are lacking;The related supporting system of ice and snow industry is not perfect,and the competition lacks market competitiveness and innovation;The development speed of mass ice and snow movement is relatively lagging behind,and the foundation of project development is weak;The talent training system is not perfect and systematic,and excellent ice and snow talents cannot be continuously supplied;The system of ice and snow sports events is incomplete and unsystematic,and the improvement of skill level lacks competition inspection;The cultural elements of ice and snow sports are not explored deeply enough,and the cultural heritage is weak and cannot be supported.4)Countermeasures for the development of ice and snow sports in China.On the premise of comprehensively exploring the global competition pattern and evolution trend of various events in the last six Winter Olympics,combing the development characteristics of various ice and snow sports powers,and summarizing the development achievements and practical difficulties faced by China’s ice and snow sports,it is proposed that China’s ice and snow sports should adhere to the all-round leadership of the party as the fundamental guarantee in the process of achieving highquality development in the future;Adhere to the concept of serving the people as the fundamental starting point;Adhere to the fundamental concept of promoting ice and snow culture;Adhere to the innovation of institutional mechanisms as the fundamental driving force;Insist on consolidating reserve talents as the fundamental reliance;Adhere to the development of ice and snow industry as the fundamental driving force;Adhere to science and technology to help ice and snow as the fundamental way;Adhere to the complete competition system as the basic medium.
