| General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the 19 th Party Congress: "Comprehensively implement the Party’s ethnic policy,deepen education on ethnic unity and progress,cast a firm sense of Chinese ethnic community,strengthen exchanges and blends among various ethnic groups,promote all ethnic groups to cling together like pomegranate seeds,unite and struggle together,and prosper together".This is a major theoretical innovation in the new era of ethnic work,is the main line of the Party’s ethnic work in the new era.Casting a firm sense of Chinese national community is the cornerstone of national unity,the root of ethnic unity and the soul of national spirit.Tibetan college students are the builders and successors of the socialist cause,the quality talents for building a new socialist Tibet,and the newcomers of the times for fully building a strong socialist modern country and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Tibetan colleges and universities have achieved certain results in their current thinking courses,but it is far from enough to cast a firm sense of Chinese national community by thinking courses alone,and Tibetan colleges and universities,as the frontline of anti-secession struggle,have been facing many challenges such as attempts by separatist forces inside and outside the country to distort the history of local relations between Tibet and the motherland and to compel Tibetan college students to achieve the political plan of splitting the motherland and destroying Tibetan ethnic unity;meanwhile,the multicultural thinking is constantly impacting on the correct position of Chinese culture of Tibetan university students.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to comprehensively and systematically carry out education on forging a sense of Chinese national community among Tibetan university students in the new era.This paper takes General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discussion on casting a firm sense of Chinese national community as a theoretical guide,takes education as an entry point,and conducts an in-depth study on the education of casting a firm sense of Chinese national community among Tibetan university students in the new era from four dimensions:basic theory,educational foundation,educational difficulties and educational strategies.Specifically,the connotation of forging a firm sense of Chinese national community is explained from the perspective of "the four commonalities".The author believes that the spiritual core of casting a firm sense of the Chinese national community is to enhance a high degree of identification with the "five identities".The "five identities" are not only the main contents of education for Tibetan college students to cast a firm sense of Chinese national community,but also the basic framework for analyzing the basis of education for Tibetan college students to cast a firm sense of Chinese national community.Therefore,the author takes "five identities" as the main line throughout the text.The author believes that Tibetan universities should adhere to the Party’s overall leadership of university education,firmly establish the position of ethnic unity and the goal of moral education;effectively increase the diversity of the ways of education for casting a firm sense of Chinese national community;and construct the pattern of all-round education to ensure the effectiveness of education for casting a firm sense of Chinese national community among Tibetan university students in the new era. |
