In recent years, the media has reported numerous cases of child abduction, which have sounded the alarm for us.Child abduction not only brings endless pain to young lives and leaves families in despair and helplessness, but also poses a huge threat to the construction of a harmonious society. In order to protect the safety of children and create a safe social environment, the government has increased its efforts to crack down on child trafficking.Currently, strengthening child protection has become a shared responsibility of the society, and the issue of child abduction has received increasing attention.Especially with the acceleration of urbanization, the number of left-behind children in rural areas continues to increase, and they face many safety risks, with abduction being the biggest one. Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen anti-abduction education for left-behind children in rural areas. This study conducted a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews with left-behind children in X village central primary school, and found that there were problems such as insufficient awareness of anti-abduction,fewer anti-abduction education activities, and limited mastery of anti-abduction skills among left-behind children in X village. Therefore, this study used group work intervention to help left-behind children in rural areas better learn relevant anti-abduction knowledge, master anti-abduction safety skills, and improve their awareness of anti-abduction safety by conducting seven group activities. The results of the study showed that after the intervention of group work, the awareness of anti-abduction safety and self-protection ability of left-behind children in rural areas were significantly improved, enabling them to better respond to dangerous situations. This study believes that group work intervention is an effective method of anti-abduction safety education for left-behind children in rural areas, which can improve their awareness of anti-abduction safety and self-protection ability, reduce the risk of child abduction, and is worth promoting and applying in practice.
