Mathematics is a discipline that studies quantitative relationships and spatial forms.With the continuous advancement of classroom teaching,primary school mathematics has increasingly attached importance to the application of mathematical ideas and methods.Primary school students mostly use intuitive and visual thinking,while abstract logical thinking has developed but is not mature.Using a teaching method that combines graphics and text,the learning effect is better than a single text infusion teaching.Using the "combination of numbers and shapes" method of learning can also enable students to understand mathematics from both the "number" and "shape" perspectives,which is more consistent with the cognitive development characteristics of primary school students.Cultivating the idea of integrating numbers and shapes among primary school students can develop mathematical core literacy such as geometric intuition and spatial concepts,which is a key concern in current mathematics curriculum reform.It is beneficial for students to strengthen the connection between mathematics and real life,and be able to learn to use the mathematical knowledge they have learned to solve practical problems in life,which has research value.Based on the above considerations,this study conducted an investigation and research using the combination of logarithmic thinking in the form of analyzing textbooks,lesson examples,and interviewing teachers in the second stage of primary school mathematics teaching.Through sorting out and analyzing the content of the thought of combining numbers with shapes contained in the textbook for the second phase of the Beijing Normal University Edition,this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the knowledge and writing characteristics of the four major fields in the textbook from three perspectives: "using shapes to help numbers","using numbers to solve shapes",and "using numbers to help each other";Then enter the classroom to observe the application of the idea of combining numbers and shapes in teachers’ teaching and students’ application,and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the application of the idea of combining numbers and shapes;Based on lesson analysis and interviews with teachers,problems in the application of the idea of combining numbers and shapes in teaching are discovered,and the causes of the problems are analyzed;Then,based on the causes,suggestions are made to teachers: improve the cognitive level of the idea of combining numbers and shapes between teachers and students;Elaborate and improve teaching design and adopt diverse teaching methods;Utilize curriculum standards and textbooks reasonably to cultivate students’ ability to read and draw drawings;Integrate curriculum resources based on teaching content.It is hoped that in practical teaching,it can help students improve their mathematical learning and application abilities,and improve classroom efficiency.
