| The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)clearly defines the importance of the basic ideas of mathematics and sets out clear requirements for them.As one of the most important mathematical ideas in the teaching of mathematics,it is one of the most important ideas in the teaching of mathematics in primary school,which builds a bridge between "number" and "shape"in mathematics,simplifies complicated problems and visualizes abstract problems.According to Piaget’s theory,primary school students in the second grade are in the critical period of development from intuitive visual thinking to abstract logical thinking,and the mathematical knowledge in this grade is increasingly abstract,so it is very beneficial to the development of thinking for students in this grade to penetrate the idea of combining numbers and shapes in teaching.The purpose of this study is to explore how to better apply the idea of combining numbers and shapes in the teaching of mathematics in the second grade of elementary school,so as to play a better role in promoting it.The study firstly reviewed a large amount of relevant literature and grasped the basic status of the existing research,based on which a survey was conducted on all mathematics teachers in Nanjing X elementary school by using questionnaires and interviews,and tests and interviews were conducted on some elementary school students in the second grade of X elementary school.We analyzed the current situation of the teaching of the number-shape combination idea in the second grade of elementary schools in several dimensions:the perception of the meaning and value of the number-shape combination idea,the formulation of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching contents,the use of teaching methods,the design of teaching assignments,and the evaluation of teaching effects.At the same time,this study observed and recorded some classrooms in the second period of elementary school X,and recorded different types of teaching cases of combining number and shape.The teaching content lacks structured integration,the teaching method of the second period is biased toward teachers’ lectures,the design of the second period homework lacks independent development and layered training,and the teaching evaluation lacks effective motivation for the second period students.There are three main reasons for these problems:firstly,teachers do not have a deep understanding of the connotation and value of teaching the idea of combining numbers and shapes,secondly,teachers are not trained in school teaching and research activities,and thirdly,elementary students’ basic knowledge of geometry is weak.In view of these problems,the improvement strategies are:teachers should strengthen their theoretical study and improve their professionalism in the subject;the teaching objectives of the combination of number and shape should pay attention to the cultivation of students’thinking and emotional development;the teaching contents of the combination of number and shape should pay attention to the combing and integration;the teaching methods of the combination of number and shape should be used flexibly and comprehensively;the design of the teaching assignments of the combination of number and shape should pay attention to the hierarchy and originality;the evaluation of the combination of number and shape should pay attention to the diversity and effectiveness.Teaching evaluation should focus on diversity and effectiveness. |
